Is there any point applying for PIP if I'm working?

I'm a new poster so I apologise if this question has been answered before.

I was diagnosed with palindromic rheumatoid arthritis just over 2 years ago after years of not knowing what was wrong with me and doctors (and myself) thinking I was mad.

I've been through a few treatment options and currently take hydroxicholoquine. I thought it was working but just in the middle of a 2 month (and counting) flare up.

Anyway, I'm considering applying for PIP to assist with the day to day managing of the condition.

Is there any point applying if I'm working?
