Hello, I am not a Helpliner but I think I am familiar with the post-op pain you describe. I was told it was caused by nerves re-growing and was told to lightly drum my fingertips over the site of the tingling to encourage the growth. It felt odd as the skin in the area was numb thanks to the lack of nerves. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Hangerbird,
Thank you for posting on our Helplines forum. I am sorry to hear about the stabbing pains you are experiencing on the site of your operation scar. It sounds as if it would be wise to consult a medical practitioner for advice, especially as you are already 12 weeks post-op and this is a new pain.
Dreamdaisy has given one suggestion. However, each person’s situation and symptoms are unique to them and needs to be assessed and treated on an individual basis.
