Hi Karen, welcome to online Community.

I'm sorry to hear you have osteoarthritis and this is causing you pain. It can be very hard to live with and limiti us in so many ways.

We have a great web site with lots of helpful information. You may like to start with our page on osteoarthritis:

Hello, I am a little older than you and have psoriatic plus osteo arthritis. Of the two I prefer the OA as it is more predictable and easier to manage. The OA was diagnosed back in 2011 (fourteen years after the other began) so I have had a few years to adjust and am used to it. Pain is a fact of life but I can diminish its presence by not giving it the attention it thinks it deserves. I am currently taking six 30/500 co-codamol in a 24 hour period because I am overdoing things a little at the moment one way and another. What has your GP recommended? DD

Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
