Hi @Sazpom
How lovely to read your post! what a story, osteoarthritis is often euphemistically called wear and tear. IT is interesting that a fair few of us with widespread OA don't fit the original wear and tear scenario, and those younger when first having an issue often have to fight for a diagnosis, mind you had we been born 20 years earlier I reckon it would have been put down to something in our brain, so just as well we are here now! With luck us fighting will make it even easier for those following on in the future.
You are doing really well, a pet lover with an assistance dog - you really must nip into the chit-chat zone and find the pets thread, lots of pictures and some stories about our pets and how they look after us, your dog breed is seriously good looking, and a work dog too so good that you have lots for him to do.
You are doing well adapting as your circumstances change which is great and something very hard to do, I'm sure your experience would be helpful in our Living with Arthritis category, where listening, understanding and support are always needed.
I'm looking forward to a photo of your carer and seeing your posts around
Take care
Yvonne x
