8 weeks in, worst time of my life. I’m on steroids starting new drugs, can life ever be normal?
Thank you for posting on our Helpline forum. I am sorry to hear you have been going through such a rough time. I am not sure which type of arthritis you have but it sounds as if it may be good to go back to your GP or talk things through with your rheumatology specialist nurse (if you are attending a rheumatology clinic).
You are welcome to call our Free Helpline on 0800 5200 520 if you would like to talk to one of our advisors informally and in confidence.
Our Versus Arthritis website has helpful sections on drugs and managing your symptoms. See links below.
I hope this is of some help.
Fiona, Helpline Advisor
I was wondering how you are getting on.
I don't know if you've reached out to us at the Helpline, but if you would like some support do feel free to ring us on our freephone 0800 5200 520.
I'm assuming you are being treated for an inflammatory type of arthritis, if you'd like some information about your condition, we can go through that with you.
very best wishes
