Low Estrogen levels = More pain
Good morning all, this is my first post. I will try and keep it brief.
I am 34years old and I suffer with recurrent knee dislocations resulting in OA in both knees.
Each month, around the time of my period I have unbearable pain on my right side especially my right knee, I also have more inflammation. A few months ago I started a different contraception pill to try and increase my estrogen levels (as research shows when levels are low pain is higher) but it's not working. It's now affecting my work and I'm tempted to use annual leave on the weeks I'm at my worse.
Does anyone else notice this? Is there anything else you can recommend. Really struggling now.

Thank you. It's awful isn't it. Yes I've taken my x2 500g Naproxen and then increased my zapain. The zapain does affect me and I'm still working from home so have to try and take it once I've finished work. Thank you. Xx

Hi @Bits1987
When I had my back surgery a few centuries ago the surgeon told me that a lot of his women had extra pain when menstruating. Bad luck isn't it? ((()))

Thank you for replying. Yes it's so annoying. I've just never experienced pain like I do 1 week out the month. My doctor said he can prescribe tramadol or morphine, but I prefer not to be away with the fairies 🤣 xx

I get that! Very interesting isn't it when you think about it🤔
Just have to get by knowing at least that it will end ((()))
Take care
