Hello, I’m a 37 year old, who has hypermobility and after having loose joints and dislocations as a child, my right knee finally gave up last year and I tore my ACL and meniscus. I got surgery this year and they realised that I have severe arthritis and need a knee replacement! I’m looking for help and advice as I was told I would have to be at least 50 before being considered. How do I manage that long? also the pain i have now is worse than before the surgery.

I understand that you had hypermobility as a child, you are now having complications with your knee. During surgery for your ACL and meniscus repair, it was discovered that you had severe arthritis requiring replacement. You were told that this would have to be delayed past your 50th birthday.
