New to biologics
Hi,
I have been struggling with RA pain for 10yrs now. Due to ther medical issues NSAIDs have never been an option. Methotrexate was also not an option. So been on sulphasalazine and hydroxychloroquine with increases to max. Now to start on sarilumab. I am a bit worried about the impact this will have on my immune response as I work in a hospital. I am currently off sick as i had got to the stage I could no longer hold a pen and write or walk from the nearest car park without my crutch. I was miserable and in pain. Now I feel like all my hopes are pinned on a biologic. Please tell me I will feel a difference soon after I start, and that the 12wk wait time would be inusual?
Please help

Hello @Madmazz and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that that will be your experience as well.
I understand that you have RA and have been taking sulphasalazine and hydroxychloroquine and are about to start biologics. Our website has a lot of useful information and a good search facility and I would suggest having a look around it. To help I've put a couple of links in below which might help
Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on, and I am sure others will connect with you as well and share their experiences
With very best wishes
Peter
