Itchy Feet

Hi all, I’m new to this forum but having been living with RA for about 10 years and I’m 36 years old. I’m taking Methotrexate, Hydroxychloroquine and sulfasalazine. For the past 12 months I get very itchy feet which keeps me up at night. I’ve spoken to my Rheumatologist who says it’s nothing to do with RA. Has anyone else had this issue?

I do know that with a lot of the medications that are offered to help treat RA, rashes can be common side effects. You didn't mention rash, but could your itches possibly be an effect of your medication? I could be either of your three that you are taking if this is the case so it may be worth mentioning it to your rheumatologist or GP. They might suggest weaning you off one of the treatments to asses this before replacing it with something else if this is the case. Of course, I'm not a medical professional so my main piece of advice would be to discuss this with your specialist.

I did a quick internet search and came up with quite a few suspect meds @clarelemas 🙄

Some of which if you are on them you might be able to see if you can try a period of time without them with Dr's support maybe?

You know who i find most helpful when I have weird potentially medication related issues is my pharmacist. I don't know if yours is any good?
