Does weather affect OA?
Hi. I’ve heard in the past that weather can affect OA. Is this the case? Knees have been really achy this week since the weather turned cold and damp again. Only just twigged that my flare ups seem to start in late Autumn. Wondered what others experience with colder weather?

Hi @Peebs I have osteoarthritis and the weather does affect it for me. I find my arthritis does flare up in cold weather more, but can also flare up no matter what the season is. My dad also has arthritis, and when he has gone on holiday to Spain he said his arthritis eases. I think there is definitely some truth to the weather affecting arthritis. Hope u r well 👍

For me yes. I can tell if it is raining before I get up it's quite ridiculous. Had a dreadful winter as although it wasn't severe, it was damp. GP said not good for people like me.
