Finger joints

in Living with arthritis

Hi, I haven’t posted before but I have a particular problem with my hands which had recently got worse. All the joints on my fingers are affected and swollen to various degrees. In recent weeks this had become much worse and more painful. What have people tried to help with this.

by the way my doctor has never sent me to see a consultant for any kind of formal diagnosis and has said there is not much they can do for this problem.

    Welcome to the online community,its great you are posting.

    You say that you have a problem with your hands with finger joints swollen and painful and recently getting worse,your GP has never referred you to a consultant for a formal diagnosis as he said there is not much they can do for this problem.

    Firstly if your GP wont refer you i would get a secound opinion from another GP as it should be diagnosed so your treatment can be benificial to you.

    My gp referred me to the hand clinic and they helped a lot .is there a clinic in your local hospital ?
