New diagnosis
Hi, I have just been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis after quite a long road through GP services to get to see a specialist. I am in acute pain at the moment and only three days into a course of steroids. Does anybody have any advice? On how to manage my pain

Hi MamaKaren.
hopefully the steroids have kicked in by now. They are the magic tablets. I was diagnosed with R A this summer, and it’s not fun is it? Steroids are to dampen down the flairup in your joints. You will probably be prescribed some different meds soon, that you will take long term. Keep us updated with your journey. Hope the pain eases soon.
