Hello Everyone
Hi All, same as everyone else on this thread, new to the forum. I was diagnosed in 2005 with RA whilst serving in the Royal Navy. I managed to see see out the rest of my 22 year service and left in 2015. I have had horrendous flare ups and bad days but generally managed to cope.

Thanks but all of the credit is down to early diagnosis and treatment (several knuckle injected with hydrocortisone) and me probably putting up with bad days when maybe I should’ve said something. The only thing that I couldn’t work through were bouts of pericarditis, not sure if that’s a common RA flare up or not, most of my flare ups lasted 2-3 days. My time working in a very hot, dry climate in 2008 seemed to be the most manageable.
