Good morning @Nere welcome to the online community.
I see you are interested in buying some gloves for your Mum, but she is quite sceptical.
Here is a search I have done for previous threads about gloves:
I hope some of the responses help you make your decision.
Best of luck
Ellen.

Hi @Nere
I have gloves for carpal tunnel I use at night which have a metal bar in them which helps keep my hands/wrists in the right position so they don't go numb.
I also have used neoprene gloves too in the day time. My sister in law (supervisor at a well know major online retailer in packing) swears by the pair I gave her.
My opinion on anything 'alternative' has always been if it doesn't interfere with my existing meds and it's not too expensive I am happy to give it a try.
Take care
Toni

Here I use compressed gloves for my OA and carpal tunnel and I think they do help. I do though only wear them at night. The gloves are soft and keep my hands warm too.
if you want to know the name of thrm I can send you an email as can’t advertise on here.
let me know Sue

I’ll send you pics, I wear them most nights, but I’m waiting for a left hand splint to help with my carpal tunnel as I was recommended a new one from a company I’ve not used before, we will see. Message being sent
