Walking after steroid injection

Please can anyone advise me how long you should wait after having a ultrasound steroid injection in the hip before you can resume outdoor walking. I had the injection 2 day's I ago tried to come off tramadol yesterday but the severe pain came back last night. Gone back on tramadol and pain has eased. Not sure if the injection has worked yet or am I being too impatient. Thank you for your time.

    Ive not had it in hip but in knee it was advised 2-3 days non wheight bearing to give the injection time to work. every step you take will disperse the injection away from the infected area. im guessing this would be same as hip as your taking full body wheight on it.
