Hello, 👋🏿 my name is Lisa and I’m new to the group ☺️

Hello everyone,

my name is Lisa, I’ve been diagnosed with osteoarthritis for over 18 years now since I was 15 years old and now been told it actually post traumatic arthritis and will need an ankle distraction surgery and will be off work for six-seven months. I also have a 22 months old and I’m a single mum and is very worried how I’ll care for her. I have my mum and few friends for support but mentally thinking that I wouldn’t be able to bath her and care for her for seven months has never crossed my mind. Life is even difficult at work as i don’t have the support from my manager and wasn’t even aware of the workplace adjustment passport that is available to help me to work. Life with constant chronic pain has become unbearable and just tired. I’ve applied for a blue badge and got rejected, I’m in the process of appealing now and now also applying for PIP. I’m also on universal credit and currently work part time as a community staff nurse. Is there any other mental health support that I could get as I do feel depressed now and my mood has definitely declined
