Hi just wondering how many cortisone injections your allowed in a tear or at any time? I'm in total agony with hands and knee. Had 1 injection in August last year in knee which helped but could I ask for 3 at once?

    I've been told I can have four a year. Most likely depends on your diagnosis.

    @Jools71 I'm sorry to hear that you are in pain at the moment. I have had a search, and it can be unclear as to the limit for cortisone injections so, I advise asking your doctor their opinion and whether or not they will be willing to do multiple injections at once. Another alternative would be to email (helpline@versusarthritis.org) or phone (0800 5200 520) the helpline and see if they have any answers for you.
