Hi all 👋 ooh, tired today 😣 not sure why, haven't done much. Maybe the extra work and painting, sometimes I find you get away with a bit of exertion for a while then it sends the bill in later. Anyway quiet today mostly & not much rain even though they said it would be, so yes Sleek got here with even a bit of sunshine to play with frog and has been very industrious. Yes of course a kennel is a fine idea 👍 I have myself 'rehomed' a snail and a beetle today from indoors to out, and a small spider that was living in a rolled up rug and thought it was onto a very good thing no doubt. I have another little resident speckly one strung across the lower pane of glass of my inner front door, haven't the heart to move him we have little chats, who needs virtual pets 😂. I will try and fish out mine, it was a keyring type possibly a woolworthsy copy I think 🤔 see what state it's in. I love Cris keeping a phone for hers specially, well we do these things don't we. The small room is indeed perfect for small cats, all mod cons I am even working on a way to get the phone line in there via a WiFi dongle, til then she'll manage on her mobile I'm sure 😀. Any suggestions as to further amenities welcome, I have hardly touched my catazon prime yet. Hope your silent rain isn't sneaking in anywhere - love to all :) xx

Hello Joan, hardly any noise today thank you, they just did a bit in the afternoon and that wasn't too bad 👍. Should have a couple of fine days if we're lucky. I need to do a grocery shop soon they feel taking things away from stock permanently I find in fresco these days, like their beetroot that isn't in vinegar, rather annoying 🙄. Hi bosh, hope you are winning the thermostat wars by stealth 🕵️ I can't decide if I'm hold or cold this evening. I have just bought a new jumper from 'the house of nosegay' naturally 😉 this hardly counts as news, well not good news anyway for me, winter clothes 😱. Glad you got a bit of sleep back and hope that plus Cornish pasty was a helpful combo 👍️. I have just had a tea and a modest piece of cake, no idea what that constitutes, sevenses? anyway who cares at the moment now is not the time to be fussy about mealtimes. Will probably be R Brek and an early night for me, hope you have a good night yourself and your mum doesn't have to wait too long for her tests back 🤞 :) xx

Morning Joan how are you today? Did your service go ok for your gas? I know Barbara wishes her husband could do it for you bless her. Thanks for asking my shoulder is still pretty sore not sure what if anything to do about it. I have restarted the physio exercises properly so we'll see. Makes everything quite difficult being right handed😕 Better stop moaning hand't I did at least manage this ready for the baby

Your Mum isn't 100% yet then still coughing? Glad the blood test is over with for her hope the tweak in meds has helped. Thermostat up thermostat down. Frustrating really for you. Will your Mum not add a blanket to her lap that's what we do because you do get colder when you sit still.

It is actually not raining here and today i am right. Well at least so far.

Not sure I blame you having a pasty. I rarely eat pastry but sometimes as you know enjoy a vegan sausage roll or vegan steak bake from dreggs. Once in a while won't hurt you - some people eat them daily!

Your poem is close on one of your very best Reshmi. This one you have given a lot of yourself thank you so much for making the withdrawal and letting us read it.

I hope you feel much less tired today yes you do sometimes pay the bill a while later for overdoing it I agree.

Sleek does seem very proud of her handywork says she's leant a lot from you. Well she hasn't learnt much from Paul. Finally got a lock on the bathroom door after maybe 3/4 years the other day. I refused to let his family come unless he did it! Our doors are lovely wood unpainted and I would have done it myself only he is very protective of the doors so didn't dare. They are also quite high up out of babies and then small children's reach😊

What do you think of the bib I cross stitched for our imminent arrival? It's in my post to Joan.

The small bedroom - improvements? Well not much more if you've added a comfy (fluff collecting) blankie on the bed? Sleek also likes a pillow/cushion underneath the bed if the bed has an underneath. A good place to hide from workmen or vet visits😉

If your 'new' speckly doesn't come inside the house then that's fine keep him. He doesn't need walking, expensive food or even vet visits! Not sure about the one who took up residence in your rug though!!! I had Daddy long legs in my bedroom this very morning. Went to get the sp***r catcher think when I got back he was IN the bed! He has now been rehomed outside, luckily it's not raining. Extra lucky it's dry actually as l am walking with Kari before the foodbank. this morning.

Cris is as soft as we are bless her. Maybe you'd do well not to start up another Tamagotchi my Pou does sometimes feel a good deal of responsibility. He gets ill if I don't look after him😣

I’m afraid I’m fighting a losing battle against the thermostat today, but mum is in a bit of a strop, so dare not apply my stealthy tactics lol

So I’m just writing whatever comes into my head as I’m too tired to read back again, sorry about that

RR told me in the group that he’s written some short stories on the bus soon and he’s sending them to a publisher soon to try and get them published, I know he’s a professional artist of course but this is the first I’ve heard of his “literary credentials” lol - he seemed very sure that the publisher will welcome his work with open arms haha

I was on the verge of telling him that becoming a published author might not be as straightforward as all that

I’m really not to sure what he writes about and also how much of a great writer he can be if he only writes on the bus haha

I wonder what his subject matter is, bosh ate a Cornish pasty yesterday, toady ate R Brek at a very unladylike hour, LA had polished off all the giant chocolate buttons, so he had to have cornflakes for breakfast, something fascinating like that I’m sure, Balzac would be turning in his grave really.

Internet may be working properly tomorrow, according to the internet provider- but they have been known to tell (hopefully vegan) porkie pies from dreggs (great rhyme by the way) - I will keep you informed

I still have workmen next door would you believe, at this hour, drilling and shouting cheerily to one another 🤨 fun fun fun. Ah well have had a slightly better day, me and the scooter took some stuff to charity frog and went to Piddle, not much fun was had though and not much purchased today. Nice weather though have to get it while you can 😊. Sleek's fairy lights have been bought online & am still looking for the right little heater. The failed clothes shopping, yes that was so silly, they'd just sold one to me wouldn't you think that would give them fresh hope 😄 and they did sell in general I think, they weren't sitting there like a white elephant, just not enough obvs. Btw did you know that nosegay have done away with seller fees for private sellers altogether, having started with clothes? I have v mixed feelings about that, not so much about the amount I have paid them over the years, but because of all the time spent relisting things at certain times; now all listings could just roll on eternally in theory 🤷‍♀️. The curtain hooks I need are the hang off a track slider sort, that you then put the curtain hooks themselves in; don't suppose this is your specialist subject but if it is I will go into it further. A little French bib eh, splendide 😀 more work to go I see, oh dear, yes will have to be little & often. Lovely breakfast today thank you 😊 off to put the bins out & early to bed if poss, CH man may be coming Monday, 3 days to tidy 😬 can it be done 🤔. Have a good Friday and some sun I hope :) xx

Hello Joan, don't worry about me I have no more problems than anyone, less usually, I just complain more I expect 😄 they are only small silly things anyway I come in here and feel better for grumbling, then I am usually over them by bedtime 👍️. They weren't noisy in the night I just meant I didn't have a very good sleep, that's partly up to me too to have better habits 😳. I went to the shops today it was lovely weather I didn't see much to buy though. Hope you have a good night maybe you will go to town tomorrow as well, it should be fine :) xx

Hi bosh, thanks for last night's message, choc R brek is indeed a bridge too far for toads 😄. Well I've never tried it but I don't seem to fancy the idea. I don't have any of any sort at the moment til I do some shopping so the point is moot haha. No Earl Grey for the builders not likely, they are totally next door's responsibility, I suspect they must be mates in the trade of some sort or would have knocked off before this time - just my luck 🙄. Heating detente, well more of a stasis as far as it goes round here until the boilerman comes, I haven't put mine on at all yet. If there are any problems he can come and be the one to find them 😱🤞. I use to like the occasional jigsaw I don't seem to have the patience these days but I would do an interesting one maybe. Definitely not the challenging sort, the last time I started a difficult one it just took too much looking at concentration and my head didn't thank me for it. What type do you prefer?
