    hi again Toni

Sorry that your stomach shuts down but good that you can pick up on it so well👍

That’s something that I can’t do, at least not yet

Thanks mums phone does however have a cracked screen

So my sister and bill are going to help her order a new one as they are the tech experts of the family

Thanks about my blood pressure, yes hopefully the home readings will help the doctor 🙏

Thanks too about matters group - related, yes RR likes to wave, he’s a bit bossy at times, I could’ve done without the waving to be honest, I was trying to make a quick getaway lol, but yes, you’re right in essence, not necessarily a bad person.

Nice T’s son is in his early twenties I think, he’s very polite, I think he was just getting a bit bored, but yes the televisual animated creatures of the deep would’ve solved the problem lol - who’s Bluey by the way?
    Is that another shark?

Sorry it’s not your mxt day of course, that was me getting confused lol

Yes you stay clear of Mr. Worf’s meat based biscuits- I will do the same, those practically carnivorous snacks will only be consumed by cats, dogs and brother in laws 😂

I did walk but only a fairly short walk as my stomach was not fully ok and didn’t want to risk getting too hungry and eating the endless junk that dad keeps bringing into the house 😡

Also Cost A Packet was packed unfortunately- a packed Packet lol

It tends to be a lot of the time especially in cold weather I guess, but even these days if I get there early enough there’s some empty seats, but it’s difficult to do that of course as with the thermostat and so on.

    How was your day?

    Did you see Kari today?

Have a good night Toni tc xx

    hi lady of the toads

    Sorry about your stomach

    No respawning thankfully

Yes Facebook isn’t something to take seriously indeed

    👋hi Toni and toady

I just wanted to say that LA made invented a toy maker which was made of a loo roll, a box etc but the box was painted a beautiful Van Gogh blue.

He and the other little inventor boys had to speak in front of a lot of people- but he spoke so well, Edison would have been proud aww ❤️

👋back to a solo toady lol

Yes poor nice T has a bad situation to deal with relatives - wise

Yes temps are sauna like here sometimes no doubt

You know once I saw a fb recipe video, it was fast eggnog biscuit pudding or something like that, but the lady kept all the paper wrappers on of the biscuits when she placed them in the oven, so roasted paper with eggnog flavour? I doubt JA even ate those, John Darcy Betjeman’s ancestors though were a different matter

Have a good night toady tc xx

👋 night also to jojo Joan S knee etc xx

Ps Bill ate Spock’s pudding (again) xx

Morning Joan such a good job you have Charlie next door and Brenda to come over. I know you you'll be coping really well with your ankle you always do. Brakes not fixable on the old wheelchair then? That's not good is it😡 You have a really good day maybe well enough for that trip out soon ((())) xxx Ps Arya is just gorgeous so chatty even though she isn't saying anything we understand.😉

Morning Jojo I'm very glad too hear your pain is under control atm so you were able to enjoy your week with your lovely husband. Weekend coming up though have either of you got to work?

Joan will remember me talking about my previous cat who died at 14 that feline kidney failure. Sleek came to us the same year possibly she was conceived around the same time as Eric died my brother's naughty old cat was the Dad😣 I am very glad to hear how well your Mum's cat is doing with a poorly heart. Sleek is really well apart from some arthritis for which she is on biologics!!!! She really is😊

Stuart has two beautiful cats maybe he'll post a photo for you again?

    take care ((())) xxx

    Morning Reshmi

How are you doing today glad your Mum is well although her bad mood is going on a bit probably still struggling to accept her heart isn't as good as it was.😕

I am very glad your stomach is doing a bit better I am ok this delightful medication day😁How about you? ok after your injection yesterday? 100% stress can affect our digestive systems detrimentally not surprising really is it?

When are your bloods due btw? I feel like it's soon🤔 Hope it's not the star trek doc.

Cats do love Christmas tree ornaments yes! Although Sleek was only a bit naughty when she was a kitten now she ignores it completely.

Was LA's invention of a scientific nature? I imagine it was or and engineering one perhaps? Bless him. His imagination is fantastic.

Had a walk with a friend yesterday which was nice then Kari came rushing past doing a run!! Isn't she incredible?

Take care I hope your day is good ((())) xxx

    Morning Toady

Hope all is well at Toad's and all wildlife present and correct. Sounds as though your bench is a good one, but still probably better a natural shade as you say. That will look absolutely perfect next to your Blue-ish shed.

I bet your washing did lighten a bit outside though? Every little helps don't you think? I did the same with my towels made a huge difference.

Sorry to say it, but Sleek is loading her largest (yes one of 3) trailer up with 'stuff' I can only call it stuff it's so eclectic. Sh has ordered a catsi with a towbar so you might have a busy day😁 Nosegay 3 1/2ps might add up.

Elfie has indeed been around a while probably the whole of his 8 years and has had a great life with us. The one yesterday was a snapchat video of him brushing his hair and singing along. There is also one of him singing to Paul on his birthday which might appear later this month. Lucy was so ill at the time - all of 5 stone at 5' 5.5" - so I was doing stupid stuff to make her laugh. Of course Elfie got in there yesterday playing with Arya and making her smile. She is just so chatty not that anyone has any idea what it's all about😂

I got my new vac (a cordless handheld) and have located somewhere to take the old one to hopefully get it repaired for a spare for any of us, Lucy, Tia or Charley whoever needs one next. I met my friend we went a walk on the Chase and Kari ran past us! She joined us too in the cafe while we were having a cuppa. When I got home I put the vac on charge - a Bill Bryson - and it is fabulous. makes you want to vac all day. Well nearly🤭

Today I am seeing Lucy I am helping her clean up a bit and will treat her to some lunch out.

Better get on. Hope your day is good. ((())) xxx

    A quick wave👋 to Skinny K ((())) xxx

Hi all 👋 the tiredness has got me today 😣 well and the cold, no frost even but it seemed even more bitter somehow 🤷‍♀️

How about you frog, was the frost cru-el (as per good king wenceslas) or did it give a bit? Hope you had a nice lunch with Lucy 😊 did you take the handheld vac with you for the tidy-up, you know, like the attraction of a new toy, looking for more things to hoover up 🤭 well perhaps not all day, no. Well given Elfie's age it does seem he has put in his dues with the dustpan & brush, so probably wouldn't mind a bit of help round the house 😄. He would have been a great cheerer-upper too, definitely 😘. Nothing much doing today, the tiredness is a bit of a nuisance at the mo I must say, I will be the next one having their iron checked at this rate 🙄. The washing did surprisingly well in the end yesterday, it would not have budged today I'm sure. Glad you had a nice time with family, I'm sure Arya is making a great deal of sense could you but understand 👍️ as for Kari whizzing past you yesterday, yes she is amazing 😊. Sleek and I are getting there researching her prices (no best offers, I advised) it is a minefield at the moment. The sheer amount of people who can't grasp that the new nosegay app has skipped 2 android versions at once, and have been uninstalling & reinstalling to no avail 🤨 no wonder they can't cope with all the other new 'improvements'. Have a good weekend, love to all 😘 xx

Glad you have got the chair already Joan 👍️ and no harm done apparently. It is very very cold today I reckon, have only been out for bins and feed the birds, it was pretty windy at one point too and they say sleet next 😬. Yes I once had just fences behind between me and the bottom people but my trees are tall enough now thankfully I hardly see them. Have a good weekend keep warm 😘 xx

Hi bosh, no cookery here today let alone with biscuit papers in it 😮😄 who knows there may well be a call for that in some sort of niche culinary circles, pudding a la papier or something. I do have 2 elderly bananas so I may retry my sunken cake, watch this space 😬. It will not be as creative as a blue toymaker 😊 I love that idea. And yes turn blue and toxic as a toad defence, jolly good idea can I evolve as quickly as that I wonder 🤔. Sorry short post I have the tiredness ooks myself today and will not be sorry to get to bed. Have a good weekend hope all relatively quiet at yours, relative being the operative word 🤞 xx

Beautiful pics Stuart 😍 yes that is a cat awaiting its T if ever I saw one 😊. Hope the jab is working well for you and you have a good weekend less pain 👍️ xx

Well done ticking the eye check off your list Jojo isn't it lovely when you have something behind you, hope they were happy 👍️. Have a good weekend are you at work Sunday I forget sorry. xx

Love to all hot drink for me and bed early I think 😘 xx

Oh dear contagious tiredness ooks 😱

Yes biscuit paper posh pudding 🤢

I’ve got the thermostat ooks too - so double ooks

    I need the matchsticks please

Family drama still very much playing here, re - runs but poison ones

I saw an image of a poisonous purple and black dart frog online but it was too scary even for me lol

👋good night toady Joan Toni jojo etc tc xx

Ps who is that kid? I’m saying it’s little Ella being an individual 👍xx

Morning Joan. I have had the v12 handheld it has a run time of 60 minutes in eco mode. If you use it on auto it's 36 minutes - is easily enough to do our bungalow which is 3 bedrooms. Does that help? It was some fancy bits like a bendy attachment so you can vac under things and don't have to bend down. Long pole to hoover up. To be fair to whoever said that if you put them on high power you do loose run time considerably. This is our third now the first I passed on to Lucy when she moved out the second is off for repair now I think they are actually quite good. Hope your ankle is on the mend? Take care Joan ((())) xxx

Morning Jojo - did you see those adorable photos of Stuart's cats? Aren't they sweet?❤️ You have the weekend off too both of you? Fabulous the children will love it too. Glad the eye test is done and dusted for a year. Hope you have lots of energy and can really have a good day ((())) xxx

Morning Stuart thank you for those photos your cats are just gorgeous they really are and that one of the little boy with his hat on🤗 I love them (())

Morning Reshmi. How are you this rather windy chilly day? Have you had any snow we have only had sleet to date but that's enough please snow oracles.

I hope your Mum is well today and in good spirits.

Thanks for asking today I am a little tired but will be ok to go for a walk with Kari this afternoon I think.

I saw little Ella there with her delightfully different outfit it's her standing out from the crowd. I must say too I totally agree with my amphibian family member we must avoid people who would devour us at all costs. There are people out there who will suck the life out of us. Let's stick with people who make us happy and add to our lives.

What a talented inventor you have in your family - a toy maker. Well I am impressed I hope it makes some great toys. Can I put an order in for the baby?

I'm putting in an offer on the cat house imagine if you could live in a place like that. Definitely puts a new slant on mad cat lady doesn't it?

Any plans for the weekend for you? I'm only going to walk with my sister probably have a posh coffee too with Paul and a drive out tomorrow.

Take care my friend ((())) xxx

Morning Toady hope you are not too tired today? It's yuk isn't it? as is the cure for low iron as you know🙄. Better get started though don't let it catch up with you. The body will only store what it needs.

Lucy has my original hand held vac (reconditioned by a chap who retired nearby) so we are ok there. Mostly though it was helping with a clear out that was what desperately needed doing. Gave up after 2 hours and will help again next week if I have any spare time. Big jobs like that are so hard to get started aren't they?

Elfie was so pleased to have his Daddy back from Scotland yesterday bless him. Oh he did cheer Lucy up so much but he never came to the hospital with us. Pink Bunny came to the hospital when Lucy was in for the first 10 months. It did make the whole ward laugh doing stupid poses. I bet it was quiet when she recovered and we left🤭 Probably a sigh of relief too from the nurses. I don't think you're really supposed to use drip stands as a 🛴

My sister is amazing isn't she? unbelievable that 18 months ago she could hardly walk 100 yards. There she is running!

Sleek said she is going to be rich when all her stuff is sold. She was trying to tell me how nosegay has confused everyone. She reckons they are trying to keep up with 'minted' and the like which have become so popular. She's on her way soon, but you'll be glad to know not bringing any more spoils.

We need this wind to just DROP sort it out if you get a minute will you? Not risking any washing outside today I think it would end up in the next town or a tree like Barbara's bloomers did that time!!!

    take care Toady ((())) xxx

Morning Skinny Keef a quite wave if you happen along👋 ((())) xxx

    Morning all 👋

Started this round 9 as one of my attempted 'early' starts frog 🤭 shows how well that worked out. The sun is shining, well a bit, at any rate so maybe the weather will relent for a few mins gardening here & there. I will up my OTC iron tonic but without bloods it's all guesswork and as I'll be due some soon enough for my liking (for med prescription purposes) I'll wait for those - though no-one mentioned iron on my last lot so I don't really see why it should be that 🤔. Oh that kind of a sort-out at Lucy's 😬 why are they so hard, that seems like a good start but yes it can seem an uphill job, as you know my ickle house is not exactly rattling and empty 😬. Yes nosegay definitely trying to rival other sites but I think it is a shame to chuck what made them different 😔. Hopefully that won't affect Sleek's dreams of wealth there is still money to be made 💵🤭 but will she use her takings for more stuff 😉. Glad Elfie has his Daddy back and hope he brought him a little something from his trip, no not a drop of Scotch, necessarily. Well Elfie played his part on the home front while Lucy was in hospital even if it was Pink Bunny who did the visiting and yes the pair of you would definitely have been memorable 🤪😘. I do admire Kari no end I must say and every time I think well I really must do something, get this hypothetical exercise bike, or something 😳. How are the wind levels now? I have done my best but yes perhaps no washing out 🤭. Have a nice Saturday, I have a free shipping code on a plant site so I must watch myself 😬. xx

Morning Joan, no, no snow here but it is so cold, my hands are like ice ❄️ just that couple of degrees makes so much difference. Glad to hear you can stand, like that amount of time even is a big help, hope the new chair is behaving and doesn't get any ideas of its own 😉. Take care ☕️😘 xx

Have a nice Sunday Jojo and the kids enjoy spending their birthday money 😊👋 everyone else see you later 😘 xx

    Hello All.

I've been following your posts and really feel for all your difficult issues, drug side-effects and general limitations. Sadly I don't have a magic wand to wave in anyone's direction but I do think of you all and silently wish you well for each day as it comes.

You might remember that I have lived with OA in most joints for nearly 40 years and it has progressed steadily, forcing me to retire from teaching secondary school PE and English at 50. Thankfully, with the encouragement of my husband of 56 years, I have been able to adapt to the challenges, deal with the difficult times and live an active and varied life.

Now in my 80th year I am determined to beat the 'down days' by recording 80 new experiences before my next birthday. This means in excess of one new thing per week so it occupies my mind in finding new challenges of all sorts. Many are quite mundane but I thought you might be interested by something I tried and thoroughly enjoyed yesterday.

The local U3a advertised a new Indoor/Carpet Bowls Group for beginners to which my OH and I signed up. I admit to being a little anxious but my fears quickly vanished. I have Spinal Stenosis and am a part-time wheelchair user but I was able to sit whenever I was not actually bowling and there were a variety of sports wheelchairs in the building so I'm sure that I could have asked to use one if necessary. My hands are affected but the bowls come in a range of sizes so, if I can't get on with the smallest adult size, there are junior sizes available. I was OK except that I can't pick up a bowl with one hand or carry the weight of my bag of four bowls so needed a little help - but I could bowl one-handed surprisingly well.

I reserved judgement on the level of success until today but I have no lasting negative effects so will definitely go again. If, like me, you prefer taking part in a physical activity to performing endless solo 'exercises' and can cope with the worry that it might not work out don't be deterred from giving bowling a try. I can't comment on costs, which will vary depending on opportunity but the basics are not rocket-science and not everyone is super competitive. You may not be a budding county player but each club just wants to spread the word about the fun and social engagement of the grass roots activity. It's also in a warm environment and there is probably a cafe attached.

    hi Toni

    Poem withdrawal 😂

VC Valentines Day poem called “That which we call a mouldy biscuit by any other word may not smell as sweet”
The milkman sat so lonely on his cart
No Valentine’s Day gift to melt his heart
But then the post lady brought him a package with a smile
What was this? He wondered he had not yet used the evil cat - azon for a while
But the post female said “Oh no, this is from me a special gift I wanted to deliver personally
It’s just some delicious R Brek in an extra large family pack
As I know, you’re so tired on these early mornings, as well as when you hit the sack
Also, I would like to suggest something if I may be so bold
Should we partake of R Brek together? It’s better than toady’s biscuits, even though they are resplendent with mould
