Hello @charlotteB
Welcome to the forum, we hope that you will find it supportive and informative here. I've added 'hip arthritis' to your post title, for relevance. I hope you don't mind.
Some reading for you:
I did a search for 'hip replacement' on the forum and here's a link to the conversations. There are a few members who have posted diaries of their experiences which are very helpful reads. Not to compare yourself to, as we are all unique, but for general information that you might not find elsewhere.
Best Joanne

@charlotteB welcome to the forum. I can identify with what you say. I tried and tried to go for the natural approach and was determined to use exercise to avoid a hip replacement, but eventually had no choice when I was in constant pain and lost so much mobility. I've no regrets at all and feel, after 15 months, that I have a new lease of life. Many of us say that and if you read some 'hip diaries' it will give you an idea of what to expect.
Any questions please ask as we do understand. Take care.
