Hello from a newbie with bilateral frozen shoulder

I have been experiencing joint pain for a while . Blood tests for Inflammatory markers normal.

First frozen shoulder started in 23 small tear too . I've had 2 hydrodialation injections and physio and now getting movement again .

However in dec of 24 my right shoulder froze too. Not diabetic or thyroid issues.

Hydrodialation failed . Just had mRi to see whats going on.

Pain in arms elbow wrists and hands.

Hands are icy cold and inside shoulder feels cold too.

I've lived on the sofa for 2 years now as I just cannot sleep due to the pain. I take paracetamol and ibuprofen and use heat and ice.

Has anyone had experience of this?

My daughter has Elhers Danhos syndrome. Brother fibromyalgia, mam arthritis. Nan rheumatoid arthritis.

Thank you for listening

Hi @Chrissy3363 and welcome to the Online Community forum. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.

My wife had something similar to you a couple of years ago, one frozen shoulder and then the other, we think hers was brought on by atorvastatin she was taking. Hydrothiolation worked for her but only when it was targeted using a scan to make sure to went to the correct position. We were lucky as the local NHS outsourced to a BUPA hospital who were obviously better geared up to treat her and took more time to target the actual area.

The other thing that helped was gentle stretching exercises to try and keep some movement going.

I hope this helps in some way, but keep persevering with your GP and try and get more targeted treatment.

Below is a link to our shoulder stretching video but only do what you can and if it starts to really hurt stop. You may not be able to do all of them.

    Best Wishes

    Peter
