Hello, recent diagnosis of Rheumatoid arthritis, methotrexate, mobility and work
Hi I'm Jo and have recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and have started taking methotrexate. I'm in my early 50s and slightly worried about it will be able to continue my job working as a teacher with small children, this involves getting up and down off the floor which I'm unable to do at the moment. Think I'm hoping for a miracle with the methotrexate!!

Hello @Jo_B
Welcome to the forum, no apologies needed! I've moved the post to 'living with arthritis' and added a bit to the post title, hope this is ok with you.
Here's some information for you:
This is excellent and I'd recommend giving a go if you feel its within your ability :
Your employer is required to make reasonable adjustsments so that you can work, here is a link for you :
Could you use a stool or a chair? I think that it would be unreasonable to expect you to get down on the floor if your mobility won't allow you!
All the best Joanne
