Rheumatoid arthritis

Hi have been taking hydroxychloroquine since November for RA. I had a fall and injured my knee and since then I have felt my legs tight as if I have excess fluid. Could this ge a flare up. Can't understand why my legs feel so heavy.

Hello @lizham and welcome to our online community.

When was your fall? I am assuming it was sometime between November and now?

@lizham I had a fall a couple of years ago and it definitely had an impact on my arthritis. I hurt my knee which I already had arthritis in and it went the same way as you are describing, a lot of fluid and stiffness. I would suggest maybe getting it checked to make sure you haven't injured it, perhaps an x-ray to make sure nothing is broken.

    Good luck x

I feel my wrists and hands sore this week too, ma burning sensation in my wrists. I have an MSK appointment on Wednesday as i also have osteoporosis and spondlosis so I'm hoping they can help and hopefully do an xray. Thanks for your help Claudia. It's so good to know I can tap into advise on the network. It's my first time using it.

@lizham that's even better that you have that appointment this week, means you don't have to sit in A&E to get an x-ray :) Please keep me updated on how you get on. Hope you have a lovely weekend x
