8 months post thr and in pain
I had thr October last year, recovery went well and within a few months I was feeling great no pain no more limping, all good until about 3 or 4 weeks ago when I started to notice I was limping and getting some pain again, at first I thought it was trapped sciatic nerve as sometimes the pain is in my calf as well as buttock and groin. It’s not all the time time and some days are worse than others. I’ve been doing more bending and kneeling in the garden and wonder if it’s normal to get some pain when you start doing more or is this a sign of something going wrong with the new hip. Had anyone else experienced anything like this

I had my THR a year ago and still struggle with kneeling, struggling to get up afterwards and uncomfortable whilst kneeling so I just try and avoid kneeling at all.
Try different methods of gardening that don't need you to kneel, sit on a stool or a step, use long handled tools for weeding. it may be that you've just overdone it while needing to get your garden looking lovely for the summer. Also think about the way you are bending - are you crouching, are you bending over forwards, think about those movements and if you're bending over forwards as if you're touching your toes, I would definitely find another way.

Hello @soohogg it would be worth checking this out with your GP/Consultant if it is more than just a reaction to using muscles you haven't used for a while by doing gardening. You could also try the stretching exercises
Hope it helps
