Hi @cocoa, sounds as if you're doing all the right things. I exhausted myself with gardening and cleaning in the days before going in. I do recommend doing all the physio exercises beforehand to get used to them. I'm finding them more of a challenge now but the physio said just start with small moves and gradually increase. So be kind to yourself

thx fir reply, yes I’m doing the exercises and have now stopped the gardening ( just the olive tree to re pot !) pre assessment went well apart from very high bp so got one week to reduce befire meds. I think it was when the nurse mentioned epidural that my b p shot up! WS told can have general anaesthetic it’s my decision will be able to decide pre op. ? Anyway tons if literature to read thru and have filled in all (un necessary?) forms to cover their backs and my outcome ! Just want to get it over with now and back to near normal as can
There’s such a lot if people in worse state I sometimes feel fraud fir pushing my op !

They give you masses of literature on the various options to cover their backs I guess but also so you can feel fully informed. I went for the spinal injection in the end, which was done very quickly and glad I did as I could eat almost immediately after. They can give you sedation (happy juice) as well if you want, but I was fine taking my music in with me. I get white coat syndrome with BP which always hits the roof when I go in, so do my own readings which are OK. Good luck with the op. Recovery is slow, but small steps at a time and on my 2nd day at home doing much better already.
