hip pain or sciatica?

in Living with arthritis

hi i have a really painful hip at present ,the pain radiates around to my back and down into my shin and foot could i also have sciatica

    I have had both hip pain and sciatica and I know it is not always easy to differentiate between the two. I also think that they can sometimes go hand in hand so I can sympathise. My advice would be to see your GP- they will be able to give you a professional opinion.
