Newly diagnosed too
I was also diagnosed this week and feel very overwhelmed. I live alone and scared about the future but have great family and friends. Good to be able to share

Hello @PamKeane75 and welcome to the Online Community. It's good that you are here among new friends who will understand what you are going through. We have all been through different bits of arthritis and how it affects us. Yes it can be overwhelming at first but as you start to see more and more posts hopefully you will begin to feel a bit better.
Have a look through the following - it might help.
If you have any questions just ask and I am sure others will connect with you to share their support and experiences.
Best wishes
Peter

Hi
I Just got. Diagnosis yesterday of seropositive Rheumatoid Arthritis. I too am a bit overwhelmed. I have been advised to take prednisone for a month and commence methotrexate also. I worry about the side effects and can’t help wondering how this will impact my life in the future. Happy to chat x

Hi @Sineadts
As well as "chatting" online you may want to talk to our support team on the Helpline - number below.
We all have had similar concerns when we are first diagnosed and it really helps to talk it through with others who have experience of the condition.
Take care
Poppyjane
