Nice to come in and find a bonus poem from the bank, rather like when the isa you took out in case of emergencies many moons ago pays you some unexpected interest 😀 although better than that in fact, who knows what the interest is nowadays on ten shillings & sixpence. Anyway great little story, all the cast of characters and their 'shortcomings' being put under the spotlight one by one 😁 super fun. I will say nothing of the ice-cream 🤫 not a word. Oh I had one of my nocturnal walks tonight and true story the real world bats are out & about 👍️ and I heard an owl, Mr Owl it was, so it must be my turn for owl on head, I shall expect him anytime now 😂. I love that picture! what a good find. Three cheers for whimsy & nonsense 😊. Btw I meant to say I have been listening to some Tori Amos songs (videos online &c) again lately and people keep mentioning Fiona Apple in the comments, I think it was you who mentioned the name to me before? so I am giving her music another proper listen as well. A disc can also do that, but sometimes they can slide back into place hopefully that's what they are expecting for your sister🤞 So she doesn't get irritated just let me know if any information comes your way without you needing to ask. Morning Toady it is indeed gonna be a scorcher! Glad it wasn't Sunday. Toad I have caught and released 278 flies from inside my house. Brought in by my happy helpers. Particularly on 'empty' plates and cups😣 I dunnae like it.

The day was fabulous though and I survived although now I must rest like it or not. Elfie was fabulous dashing here and there and playing with the children. He was also very helpful clearing up. He is lying in ATM, in 'big bed' as Paul is in Jersey this week. Do you think he has another wife?🤣Paul I mean not my wee elf!

We did indeed have two gatecrashers, but they were very welcome 😊 friends who had left the village a year or so back and they made a donation.

Kari is doing really well thanks for asking she helped on Sunday and yes is running early or walking late it's all you can do isn't it?

Those pics are 'pre' the event I haven't got any during I was far too busy, but some are coming from other people.

Hedge trimers are here today and were yesterday too. Nice chaps I really like them but I got dressed early just in case!!!!

Super day if you like this sort of thing, little bit of cloud & a nice breeze in at the window 😊. How many flies frog?!!! How on earth have you even got all those, they usually resist, and don't 'pitch', the blighters. Maybe all too busy with their leftover parteh foods but gosh still must have taken ages 😮! Nice that you had a couple of welcome unexpected people turn up on Sunday 😊 well done with the whole thing, you must be v tired still but not much rest if you had the hedge people, hope they didn't catch you out. I was myself, by an early post van, bringing a tracked 24 item that was supposed to be coming by evri; a tuppeny thing off nosegay fancy sending it by that 🤷‍♀️. Oh and in one of the many odd packagings I've had over the years, a box stuffed with crumpled up pages of some sort of handwritten exam 😂 do people have nothing else to use? Glad Elfie is resting up too - Sleek says she will trail Paul in her new as yet unmarked van if needs be 🕵️ but I'm sure it won't come to that 🤭 hope he's getting on ok sounds quite a busy time with trips close together. Glad Kari ok 👍️. Nothing much going on here except some garden watering etc (did I imagine some bursts of very heavy rain in the night?? I think I must have!). Couple of little garden pics below. Hello Joan, yes it would never surprise me that they would suddenly pipe up again and say they want to do the roadworks 🙄 you wouldn't mind but it's already caused me and other people annoyance I expect, wondering if the road will be closed and when, etc, for nothing. Hi bosh, yes the vampire nurses AGM 😂😂 very important! all sorts of points to raise (sharp points probably 😱 shudders). All quiet here today, hope you have been able to evade the hottest weather should be going doing a bit now and then not as bad next few days 😬. A couple of degrees less would help, chocolate might actually be a viable concept again, impossible at the moment isn't it even if put in fridge first it's no use 😄. Love the picture, perfect for catazon, I must say their plan has worked beyond their imaginings 😄. As well as all the other 'brilliant' things the nosegay boardroom has come up with recently we now have the new AI message system - 'intelligent assistance provides suggested replies to buyer questions using information from your listings' 🤨. Apart from the occasional person who just doesn't read the listing, what on earth use is that? 🙄 gosh they really are going down a very funny path. In the end the AI will want to look round your house, decide what you should sell and what you ought to charge 😱. Hope you have a good evening and your mum is well today :) xx

The ice skins is an interesting idea, never heard of, sorry they didn't live totally up to hopes. 102 oil temps is hot 😮🔥! I haven't had to go out in this today it's fine indoors I've known it hotter. I never drink much more in the heat I should really, probably something weird that I don't really think of it - certainly not the quantities some people do, I don't know how they put away huge great bottle of fizzy drinks etc 🤷‍♀️ not so much as a can of coke in the house here atm. I shall knock back a bit more fluid for me own good ta 😁. Keep up the not-migraine good work 👍️ xx
