Losing mobility
I have recently been diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in both knees and left shoulder. A few months ago I was active and mobile. Now I need a rollator to get from room to room downstairs. I have to sit down to wash up etc. To get upstairs I have to crawl. Is this normal and what can I do. Thanks for reading . Helen

Hello @hellonski .
I'm so sorry to hear of your current situation. The difficulty with thinking if it normal or not is that we all suffer arthritis in different parts of our body and we all have different levels of pain. I have had arthritis in my knee and my hip and have had joint replacements and I do remember the immobility and pain. But I do think your situation sounds really difficult and I think you need to discuss this with your GP or specialist and see if you can progress some treatment.
I hope members of our community will be able to reach out and share their experiences.
Best wishes
