Hi all,
It seemed a mamoth task for me, as I havent dared go anywhere other than in my car.
I booked two theartre tickets and went off to the train station after a phone call to ask if it would be ok.
They were so helpful and I was met by lovely people at each end with ramp. It was so fanatstic and I felt really free, everyone I met was helpful, even when I ask if I could charge up my battery in a Chinese restaurant.
I feel that I could go anywhere now, and would dearly love to go to London has anyone tried this on a scooter? or am I being a bit to enthusiastic?
Mind you was shattered and found it hard to stay awake for the performance.

Hi lorrayne,
well done,I have a mobility scooter and like you was scared to go out at first , but hey when I did now there is no holding me back , I love the open air and listening to my radio from my mobile phone , boy is it fun now going round to shops. I was told my scooter should be able to do ten miles ( I dont think so its just a wee light one that can be folded up and put in a car.
the big scooters can do great speed ad ten miles will be nothing to it

I left home at 530am thought i would try it whilst quiet i was still a bit embarassed useing the scooter. Like you i could not get over how helpfull everybody was getting me on and off the train with the ramps. I have been out on the train several times now though not as far as London. Keep it up

Hi,
Thats really wonderful, how brave you are!I bet you'll be gadding about all over the place. Great to hear something positive about rail travel too, you hear so many complaints and horror stories it makes a change to know they can be good too.
