    Um, 'good' afternoon, all - it's been a miserable, gloomy day here!

    It might have brightened up while I was asleep, but I don't think I missed it!

    Ange - sorry you're Fridayish and yes, kids can break your heart! and without trying, too.............

    The news here is good, though, I can finish with the nebulizer over the weekend and take it back on Tuesday! Hooray!

    Oh what a day. When I left here after breakfast, went to T's and A's and back home. Haveto take car because no bus. But caught bus into town for 1 p.m. to get my hair trim & b/d. then had a little fuddle round M&S. Bought some clothes for the boys. All the things I thought I would like for myself I put back.I love treating my grandchildren.
    Ange. That's what you are doing with your little people, spoiling them and then they look forward to coming back to you. Poor things. Hope they are not getting smacked or anything like that.
    Annie, so glad you had a good night. You need to get a good sleep pattern again. I struggled like yourself about twelve months ago, so I know what you are going through. That virus you had didn't help.
    Is Snowball are you our resident weather forecaster? It has been very changeable today. Such a cold wind.
    Val rushing around as usual. Toni And everybody else. hope you are all ok. I'll try and pop in later.

    Hi Joy, you certainly had a busy day!

    I feel I am now on the mend, but it's been a bit of a long haul. Bit wary of saying I feel better as that seems to make it all go pear-shaped again!

    It's definitely time for another builders and some sticky toffee pudding with custard and cream........or shall I have the strawberry flan? Decisions, decisions...

    I'll have five minutes with Cuddles by the fire and make up my mind.

    Trisher have brought in some buns with cherries on top just for you (but there are plenty for everyone! :wink: )

    wrists not so bad today - thanks to those who asked - but trying not to overdo it so not on here for long.

    Thank you Wonky - glad the wrists aren't quite so bad......have you thought patenting your lovely warm hugs? Along with those and the lavender cow-pats and the lovely warm fire, we do very well here!

    I need one of those today. I don't know how it happened, but on the bus coming back from Town today I went to take my necklesses off ready for my Chiropractitioner session and realised that my SOS pendant and chain were loose. Well I heard something drop on the floor and tried to look down, couldn't see anything. A friend of mine (she heard it drop too) was sitting close so she looked and then others started to look. Could we see it???? No. So strange. how can you hear something fall, but not find it. Was birthday present from OH and Upset.
    Will ring bus company tomorrow to see if they have found it. I told the bus driver and she said she would have a look too. It's got all my details inside as you can imagine. I think someone has helped themselves to it.

    Joy, what an unlucky thing to happen - I wear a Medic-Alert bracelet, but I do have a spare one should I lose it.

    Hopefully the bus people will find it for you........but some people do keep the strangest things!

    So sorry to hear about your bad night again. I guess that something was up today because of the activity last night. Poor you.
    Are you still getting visits from the nurse? Wish the gp or consultant try and install a different kind of bed, ( water bed) maybe??? No, I'm not being silly. There are beds that move around and change the position you sleep in for you. Goodness knows what they are called. They have them installed for the aged to stop bed sores. I suppose they are quite expensive, but if one could be installed on a temporary basis.
    Just so that you can get some rest.
    Can just imagine you on a water bed mind. See you and Annie on one together :lol:

    No seriously now, I expect you are feeling really low. Sorry

    I only seem to buy one type of coat now, Ragatta.
    I've got a pale blue one, red one, dk blue and now lilac and grey.
    And another which is a khaki colour but different make and looks like the sort of style you use to get when you belonged to the mods, not the rockers.

    We bought a bed like that, it is called an electric bed. You press the button and the top moves up and down.

    Also the feet end does the sam, so does th middle bit.


    I highly recommend them. My one also has a memory foam inside, and you do not feel one another move about.

    I'm still having the nurses call twice a day at the moment.
