Hi to you all, Julie, trish and her firemen, chris, pixy, barbara, joan, jan, delboy and if I have forgotten anyone, extra (((((hugs))))) for my lack of cognition.
Had my bloods done, think the test was ordered due to arthralgia and then the list of blood tests I couldn't see. I did ask, but bless her, she was away with the fairies and concentrating on her bottles. I was going to snatch the forms while she wasn't looking. She did say " have you just had a hip replacement" er, no, this is how I walk love.
Will get results on Monday afternoon. So we will see what comes of them.
A nice sunny day, despite the volcanic ash that is up in the stratosphere, apparently the sunsets will be wonderful, beause of the eruption in Iceland.
Had the washing out, now in, just in case we end up like Pompei, lol. Cats are all looking dozy (nothing new there) they know it is nearly nap time.
Time for a large cup of T and then rest the bones. Have put some Primulas on the tables, had a sweep, bleached the loo's and re-filled the energy buckets, kettle and coffee machine.

Evening to all looking in..........think I'm on my own at the moment.
I've been badly delayed today by finding a battered copy of The Housewife's ABC published in 1921 among my possessions.
No idea where it came from or whose it might have been, but it's riveting reading!
I'd no idea chilblains could be cured with tincture of myrrh!
I'll have a large cuppa to go with the next chapter.........
Annie0 -
Hi annie ,val, bubbles and anyone else I have missed...oh annie I have a few books about make do and mend from the 1940s and a couple of ones from the 1920s how to cure everything they do make great reading .Love

Hi Barbara, Cris....
Barbara, I've got a couple of my mum's war-time tips books, but I think I know them by heart!
Cris, some of the remedies given in this one I've found would make your hair curl.........Elfin Safety? To hell with it! Just use white lead, arsenic and potassium........you'll be fine!
I can't find anything for arther.......so far.........but it's probably called something else!
Annie0 -
Hey Annie tis better than some of the cures we still have here
Mines produced so much arsenic its got so may uses and I can think of another just now..........

Hi Barbara, Chris, Val, oh dear, I always look back, then forget immediately.........everyone else too
Had a good nap, just coming round now. Laughing at the Ibuleve gel advert, where they are all dancing and singing and forming a band......
Supper is cooking, not sure wether to watch the debate with our "great leaders".......it will all be pre selected audience and questions and more bull**** flowing than the average farmyard.
Better go see what's occurring in the kitchen. If I fall asleep again, it is the politics that has done it.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

Just imagine the two of us getting the table stuck in a jam between the door frame and the door half-way out of the roomsee you'll go to bed with a smile tonight ... but panic not we did get it where it needed to go, and no knuckles were scraped or tempers frayed ( that must be a first for us
