Hi to anyone still around - think they must all be helping with the shearing.

Done for today, can't do any more, so popped in for a cuppa T and a quiet 10 minutes.

Thank heavens the fire is on! I've been frozen all day, so will sit next to it and warm up.

Evening everyone, just having a little read. Nasty curry from Tesco, I think they all taste like soap from there, so wont buy any more.



Nice part of the day now, clear and still. They said frost later. Perhaps the swallows that I saw today will head south again.

Sorry I'm in late I have had trouble with my hands and fingers I have not been able to bend them. It has taken ages to get them unlocked.

Annie, I wrote the 5th May for baby thought you wrote the 4th??

Who has the 4th then? Annie still got time he might pop out just before midnight.

We are nearly right. First babies are nearly always late.

in coronation street. her mum has died in the soap. (the real actress died recently in real life)

Blanche, her mother in corrie, Maggie Jones, (actually sadly passed away a while back), now the news has been broken to her by Ken, seems a long time for the storyline to run before they got on with it.

I did say the 4th, Trish, it's my daughter's birthday tomorrow. Don't tell Jen, but my due date was the 15th April and she kept me waiting all that time! She kept me waiting longer than the first one did.

My Geoff was the 26thMarch he arrived the 9th April 7lbs 7/2oz He had broard shoilders so he got stuck. I Had forceps and a cut ouch

Our river here used to be dreadfully polluted, no fish could live in it.

Over the last few years they have cleaned it all up and restocked it and some of it is now let for fishing. The improvement is considerable.

I know what you mean about the Thames, Trish. Last time I came up I stood on the bridge thinking how dirty it was.
