Hi Julie, hope you are ok. I think Val has gone to bed. I might put the kettle on and sit by the window, I have put a mesh up so we don't have every bug in creation coming in. We don't do bugs in the cafe.

Is it pumped through or does it run its self? I think that's the most boring... at least (till I feel ill) I can walk about with the drip stand... mind I always get the one with the wonky wheel.....

I know some are 4 hours and others are 6 and so hope you have the 4 hour one? (((( )))) xx

Cris mines pumped through and your right its very boring, I allways get the one that keeps bleeping drives me mad. I go in at 9am have my bloods done wait an hour for them to come back and if there ok they go make up the infusion, I'm hoping to out for 1pm

Hey the one that beeps... yep you must have mine You know I have to go out side a bit here and there anyway the last time I had it done in the big hospital they didn't get the line in till gone one and its a 6 hour drip... i got so bored I went and sat on a bench outside and well was there a while..... The thing suddenly exploded with the loudest beeping possible..... had forgotten to plug it in and so the battery had gone flat.....

Julie I had to go through the main entrance.... up in a lift full of people and back to the ward with this screaming noise like a flat line on the machine...so embarrassing :oops: :oops:

The staff thought it was funny thankfully cus I thought I was going in for an ear bashing xx

Sorry Matron Bubbles..... I didn't see you....I should like a couple of these, a handful of this type and ... wow I's on the ceiling xx

I think, just think, that the pregablin have actually helped a bit today, things are just starting to twinge now, but, for the first time in a long long time, I have not been in constant pain. Mind you, they alter the way your brain receives pain signals, they do make you a bit fuddled. But heh, so what, if they mask things a bit, that's fine by me.

OT coming on Tuesday, to assess and offer advice and assistance and or look into grant to change the shower to a larger one, the one we have is a death trap for me.

Oh Cris they wont let me go off the ward with mine, but I do go for a walk and get a cup of tea in the heamatology spelt wrong I know :roll: as we share the same floor, we did share the same rooms for a while but now they have got rid of some beds on the rheumy bit we all go there.

They give me a bit of lea way cus they know me fairly well now.... I am a bit like a caged lion and well as long as they know where I am going they tend to be ok..... I have to have half hourly obs so its not much freedom. I used to be ok but now the bp plummets like a stone.... That's when I go sleep...

They do normally give me a bed cus I do get a bit ill and last time scared them a bit...... I was fine just wanted to sleep

Shall be with you and don't squash us in the pockets lease ((( ))) xx

LOL, I haven't had that yet, no doubt, as the dose goes up, yet again...........I don't want hallucinations, the last time I had them, it was with diamorphine after my last heart attack, the pictures on the wall were moving up and down :shock: Then the nurse came in and said, we want you calm, very calm, take these, I knew they were diazepam, four of them :shock: :shock: I was so on another planet.

Mine was horrible... I seem to be prone when I have the drip.... I see rats here and there and they are totally imaginary and once... Oh Bubbles once I had a load of dead people coming out the walls! I have never been so high in my life!

The drip and the drugs do seem to make a bit of a reaction but it took me ages to get to 300..... Still a good drug though and ell anything that dulls the pain has to be worth having eh? You have a goo d night. ((( ))) xx

I had diazepam after I had major surgery (18) I got a infection and my whole body kept going into spasm it was very frightning at one point they thought I might have had brain damage.
