    Hi Trish,

Does she know what it was that bit her? She obviously has a terrible reaction to the venom and again please give her my love.

    You want a coffee? xx

    Hi Bubbles,

Got anything for insect reaction bites on the trolley? xx and a cuppa

Have an EPI pen, adrenaline, and some anthisan, some piriton and some white vinegar. Will look see what else I have lurking.
Annie was bitten, an adder, or insect? Goodness, hope she is ok.

Yes please one coffee for me

    Bubbles

Well Annie started off with a swollen ankle. She went to bed but had a bad night when she woke up it had come up her leg. She went to A&E and they said it was an insect bite but she cannot remember being bitten.

Well when she told me she cannot pit her foot on the floor now and the infecton was coming up more. She was given AB's but she does not think they are strong enough.

I wondered if it was because of her immune system being low that has made it get worse.

I'm not sure if she has gone back or is in bed at home at the moment, will check my mobile when it finishes charging and see if she has left a message.

n night Jan, take care and rest well.

Some insect bites can be horrid, things like Horse Flies, wasps, even small things like mosquito bites can cause an over reaction, like you say, if someones immune system is already low. I would think some strong anti histamine, antibiotics etc. It can look like cellulitis sometimes. I have family members who react that way if wasps sting them and our neighbours son is super allergic to wasp stings and carries adrenaline pen.

Hope things are ok. I had best go rest now, I will leave my trolley out, with extra energy and hugs in pill form.

Everyone take lots of care and rest as well as possible. Love, XXX Bubbles

Just a thought about annie: it could be cellulitis. That is often triggered by an insect bite, it causes great swelling and often people end up on an IV or have anti-biotics via an IV every day for a while. This happened to my mate jonnyb, who ended up having a month off work and the nurse came in every day to put him on his anti-biotic IV. Please send annie my regards, trisher. I really hope it isn't cellulitis - it's nasty. DD

I will pass on your message. It might be worse because her immune system is down and she reacted to it worse because of that reason.

She did mention in the week that her ankle was swollen I wonder if that was the start of it and she did not realise she was bit or stung. Therefor it really had got into her system.

She has the grumps today and I don't blame her. I reckon it must have been when she had been in the garden.

When I was in the hospice I was bitten by a spider as I saw him trying to run away. Within hours I had a massive blister which burst and took quite a while to heal and left a scar. GGGrrr
