Last year I bought a cd of The Salvation Army singing carols, and fell in love with one called "Starry Night", it starts off "it was on a starry night, all the hills were bright....." if anyone would pm me the words to this carol I would be very grateful, as I can't hear them all clearly on the cd - and I want to sing-along!

Just wondering over to the cafe If I had to choose a real carol and a grown up one I would have Silent Night on the short list but I think either Away in a Manger or in The Bleak Winter (is it called that?) would be the first........
I got a lovely melody of carols, sung by........... Sheep

It does not matter what it is as long as it is your favourite one

Hope you don't mind me joining in.
My son had the most beatiful voice and was a head chorister. My favourite Christmas moment was him walking alone holding a candle into the darkened cathedral singing the first verse of "Once in Royal David's City". He looked and sounded like an angel.

Of course you can join in anyone can.
Wow I bet you were so proud of him Jean. It is the start of
Christmas when we have the candles lit and the lights go out then the choir sing.
That is a beautiful song as well.
