    Hi Sally,

I do have to work a bit but am quieter now than I was so for the next 10 days I can do a bit and then get back to resting them before doing another bit. Its not poss just now to not keep going but thankfully I am being de-nerved next week and have got some cover then for a few days :D Can't bring it forward cus its Christmas but did get some help today and have rested them a fir bit. They are now a better colour and not banging so much :D x

    Hi Arna,

Its a bit warmer today and I haven't been stood outside too much so they have stayed warmer and its done them good. They have lots mot the purple today and juts a deep red so I think it is a case of rest them as much I can and keep them warm. Hope your warm enough there? Cris x

    Hi Joan,

Its psoriatic arthritis, bit like ra but not got the rf in the blood. Hope you and Sue are ok? x

    Hi Josie,

How are you doing? Feet eh? Pains  I just have to try and keep mine warm and away from any rubbing for a min....... You take care Cris x

    Hi Sue,

They haven't ulcerated yet thankfully. I hope hey don't  Its the heel of the left one thats a worry the two toes I just want them taken off soon......... They do something like this every winter, comes with the first frost and goes with the first warmth of spring. The drip will help and I did see someone today. Hope your doing ok? Luv Cris x

    Hi Shaz,

I have been kind to them today and they have been less painful so maybe I need to try and be a bit nicer to them eh? New boots help cus they are warm and 50% metal again :D Till there is mud I wont have to wear wellies for too long cus thats what got them so cold  Trouble is the ground will thaw eh?:lol: Bubbles and ((( ))) xx

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the hugs and hope your enjoying your self? xx

The update is I saw the practice nurse and she said they are ruptured more than breaking down so hopefully the ulceration wont come. She did call in the useless doctor and he has put me on antibiotics and reduced the sulfa. He said what I need is the drip and that is already booked for next month so to try and keep them warmer than they clearly have been and avoid anything rubbing the open bits. He did say t talk to my consultant again about having the 2 toes removed cus just now he could understand why I don't want them.

The nurse has dressed them with plain melolin and I have to pop back in on Christmas eve for a quick re-do.

Its warmer today and the feet re happier for it....... I not so worried now a I was and thank you all cus I did get a bit panicked yesterday. Luv and Merry Christmas to you all. Cris xx

    Hi Lynn,

I will keep and eye out for them  My cats like the foot cradle and you know them sleeping on them doesn't help :lol: The nurse made me promise to keep them away from the hottle actually cus she reckons they are burns more than chilblains  When they are cold they lose all feeling cept I register they are cold...... Getting older see :lol:

The drip will sort them out and the last one didn't last well and didn't help too much.

I just remembered someone asked about the line in, the plan is to put in the friday before the drip and if they do I will have the full force of the drug and no tissue leakage....... Its the kind that do more good and lat longer But they really make me feel ill..... small price to pay eh?

    You ok up there?

    Love

    Cris xx

    Hi Lynn,

I have got a blue sheep one  but I took it off cus it wasn't warm enough  Maybe I shouldn't eh? I use the safer one for my feet, its got all the ribbing........ the one for the back, well that hasn't but does have to go through a t-shirt and a shirt  I got some ordinary chilblains and they just itch and ache but the foot ones well they wont itch till the drip  Its lack of blood vs a ton of metal, disfigurement and inflamation I guess. I wonder which does the most damage :lol:

You keep your heating on and stay warm cus thats important. Love Cris xx

    Hi Trish,

Its the drip that will cure this and its only 3 weeks or so away so it will be ok, promise you. Just going to pop over the cafe now  Love Cris xx

Hi, I'm glad that you are a bit more comfortable, I hope they stay that way for Christmas and the New Year! Longer if possible! :)

I'm OK, just a bit achy, the cold weather doesn't help. We've had about 5" of snow since Monday and it just gets colder and colder, we were going to deliver pressies to my Oxford family on Tuesday, but the snow was too bad, so we have called it off till after Christmas! We've got quite a few to swap, so we will all have a rather bare Christmas. Still better late than never.

My sisters friend fell over on the ice on Wednesday, fractured her skull and had a small bleed into her brain. She seems OK, my sister said, quite 'with it' and they hope that if she stays still for 2 weeks in hospital, it will clear on its own, so fingers crossed. Makes me realize how lucky I am!
Take care everyone, have a Happy Christmas. Love Sue

    Hi Chris

I hope you get some help soon with your feet...it sounds jolly uncomfortable. Can your GP's surgery suggest anything? I'm not sure what advice to give you. You need some help and fast.

My thoughts are with you. Let us know how you get on.

    Take care

    Hi All,

My feet are trashed! Some of it is pa, some oa and some of it is the circulation thing but there are so many 'chilblains' that effectively there are now only one right round and part over the! I am very lame, 3 bits have ruptured and you know what I kinda fed up with them :x

I got an early pressy today a new pair of Frankensteins boots and they have been much warmer than in my Hunters. I got bits of metal in them, a little too big but never removed cus I heal so badly and slowly, and they are hurting like hell as well! I just wondered if anyone has any ideas as to what I cold do to a) Stop the ruptures from ulcerating and b) help them to stop banging like this? I am going to push for the 2 really bad toes to be removed but I don't see the consultant till may and thankfully (and I very rarely say the thankfully! ) I got the drip again next month.

Any ideas gratefully needed cus I feel like cutting the toes off my self just now! Sorry, I do try to keep up beat but they really are a mess just now and I kninda need them to give me a bit of peace....... They are this bad and its only December!

Hope your all coping better with the cold than my feet are and your all sort of ok? Luv Cris x

    Hi Joan,

Fleeces are good things  I have a huge padded shirt that's fleece lined and its really good for the out door duties but the feet are always more vulnerable cus they have the worst bit f circulation I own (do I really own it? ) and this time of year its so wet you have to live in wellies. Hunters are far Superior to wellies (and 5 x more  ) but still just rubber....... Lynn said about the really posh ones, they are thermal lined and air soled and probably warmer but at near on a hundred I may never know :lol:

Hope you and Sue have a good Christmas :D Luv Cris xx

    Hi Sue,

I hope your sisters friend will soon be ok again. Was it full fractures or hairlines? She will be ok though I am sure. I had a few of both types and the only dodgy one I had was a depressed one that I got compression from, even that was k after a few weeks so try not to worry too much.

Hope you find the roads soon clear and it gets a bit warmer. Our lanes are a mean impersonation of ice rinks but 'cept for that we have been lucky. You have a good Christmas and I hope 2010 will be much kinder to you. Luv Cris x

    Hi Sharmaine,

They got cold again today and that's just not a good idea just now  The gps have never been too good about knowing what to do to help unfortunately. The underlying circulation thing means it takes the drip to dilate the vessels (up to half an inch, he told me, in the main arteries and veins  ) to really help.

I get this every cold spell but never this bad or this early in the winter. The panic comes from some consultant years ago with the bedside manner of a squashed gnat!

I have a no outdoor sales to stand out in till new year so that will help and a couple of days help next week cus they are de-nerving me again and I can't drive for 72 hours so got a good chacne of getting them to heal a bit. Then the rocket fuel of the drip next month and that really does work so quickly :D

You take care ad have a good Christmas and I hope your knees behave better in 2010. Cris x
