Hi All,

Got useless doctors, too many patients not enough of them so for the last 18 months or so I have never got an appointment only phone call from the duty doctor and a phone diagnosis and tablets put up. Ok sometimes that works ..... but..... sometimes it doesn't.

I really feel lousy. I am so tired, not sleeping though, and pain everywhere. Even my friends the diclo's and Preagablins are not working too good but they in fairness keeping the back fairly quiet

I went to a walk in today (its 38 miles from here but well worth going!) Saw a nice doctor who was friendly  I was thinking they might be a myth :lol:

He said I was very run down ( I kinda knew that) and also having an endless flare of pa and raging optic neuritis in the eye ....... yet again, it started last night!

This walk in is a short term fix but he told me I have to make an emergency appointment with the rumo tomorrow and go to eye casualty asap...... I won't be able to til Monday cus I have to o some work tomorrow and sales both Saturday and sunday.

I was talking to a friend while doing the sheep and WE think I got cat bite fever....... I will have to remember to ask the rumo and the eye people about that one and well its treatable :lol::lol: It can't undo the damage in my eyes and the right one really has got some.

Anyway as poor Maria said ( a (((( )))) for you Maria) I also could do with one :lol::lol:

Sorry this is so long and it hasn't ended where I had planed it to VUT any one with useless doctors near a walk in go there cus they actually help!

You all take care, Cris who knows she got very bad eyes and may have used the wrong words here and there  xx

Oh Eve bad doctors are so awful to have eh? My lot don't have time for all the patients and don't have good patient care at all...... I am trying to change and now after seeing a nice one who said how bad I was in a kind way I really want to change!

Hey the walk in is quiet good. You a nurse first and if she can hep you she does and you can go. If she can' she puts you on the doc's list and I had a 20 min consultation and he didn't once look at his watch :D

I hope you are ok and things at home with your family re getting easier and sending you a ((((( ))))) back Cris x

    Hi Lynn,

I have to correct it cus its cat SCRATCH fever but your right every single bite I have had went septic with in mins.... Left untreated you end up on a drip and are very ill. (In fact they are second only to humans in the bacteria they inject..... Never sure about that cus I would have thought Komodo Dragons come first not humans..... ) Not silly bites or silly scratches my employers used to be wild and the employers go back 24 years...... I have been gouged by full depth claws regularly ever since I discovered feral :lol::lol:

I was tested for Lyme's a long time ago and it was negative...... As far as I know I have never been bitten by a tick and actually never seen on on my girls..... its possible they wouldn't dare!:lol: However as I remember Cornwall is a risk place, bot as bad as the New Forest though and I was tested 6-7 year ago........

Oh he also said I am having a major reaction to the sulfa, hence the throat and cold like symptoms..... I must phone the rumo later today and see if I can just stop taking them!

You ok there? Tis cold so we will need 2 balaclavas for the rustling

Love Cris who still can't get over seeing a nice gp! xx

Oh Lynn they do write to the uselesses so I guess they will never read it  Or maybe just hope eh?!

    Hi Lynn,

I reckon they are used to it :lol::lol: I wish it was bearer and they did say they are plans to open a few more down here..... He also thinks I have a hernia rather than an ulcer.... he can't do referrals but did say he would put that in the letter

I got to get decent doctors eh? Especially with the cat scratch thing..... What department deals with that  I going to run it past the Rumo and he is a good guy and I am sue he will help. I got scares from teeth and claws all over my arm, legs hell I even got one on my nose :lol::lol:

You put your coat on and I See you in10  Oh coming up the lane earlier there were lambs and ewes in it... they come over the hedges sometimes and I put the window down and baaaaed at the like I do mine and one ewe came right up to the window and stuck her head in :lol: I did think or a second shall I open the door......

Love Cris who isn't really going to rustle..... xx

    Hi Cris,
Glad to hear you got a sympathetic hearing from a doctor at last. I had to change my gp practice a couple of years ago as they just couldn't be bothered. Although I had trouble being taken seriously last summer I was ill I think things would have been much worse at the old one. It really made a huge difference changing. I urge you to do it soon. Don't leave your eye too long will you?
I hope you get a good result from the rheumy.

    Hi Cris,

I am so pleased you met a decent, caring GP. It was wellworth the effort (38 miles am I reading that correctly)?
You really need to attend that Monday appointment, better late than never.
I never knew about cat stratch! MY cats could be vicious and were always scratching me. No wonder I am such a wreck!

Oh Cris, soooooo glad you made it! Well done you (((((((((Cris)))))))))

Do get the Cat Scratch thing sorted asap - friend of mine had that a couple of years ago, she was very poorly and had to have a lymph node removed in the end. It wasn't even her cat!

Ring the Rumo, get to A & E, whatever it takes, pretty please. Sooooooo hope you get some relief from it all soon.

First off Cris, c`m here while I give you the biggest hug you have ever had. And another. Put me down Haz!! Mars bars, yes.

I can`t tell you how relieved I am that you have finally seen a doctor. I`ve been - still am - really worried about you. When I first suggested that you try a Walk In Centre, I never imagined that you had to travel 38 miles though!! Still, you feel it was worth it, and that`s what matters.

Now that you have finally had a good experience, PLEASE keep trying to find a decent GP. They are out there. When you do, maybe you will have to be a little bit firmer , in the nicest possible way, and not be fobbed off. You are a too special for that.

Cris, if you don`t go to the eye clinic on Monday, Toni and I have a plan afoot to come down there, and make sure you do! Also, get in touch right away with your nice Rheumy, remembering to stress that the Walk In doctor said it`s an emergency.

Always remember how very much loved you are, and take that thought with you, everywhere you go..........Much love......Ange.

Hi Cris glad to hear you got to see a nice docter even if it was 38 miles away, your own docters should be ashamed of them selves you can't diagnose people over the phone all the time. Hope everything goes well at rheumy and the eye clinic.

    Hi Sally,

It will wait till Monday this eye thing, I keep getting it and its a 3 month thing what ever you do...... Its that that points to cat scratch thing...... I will ring the rumo in a min just not sure if I am asking if I can bin the sulfa  I've wanted to do that for the last 8 months and especially the last 4!:lol::lol: Hope your ok? Cris x

    Hi Elizabeth,

yep 38 mile each way....... That's how bad my own are. Under the NHS choices its a 5 mile radius so if they use that I might be able to scrap in same where else :D I just glad to actually see a doctor :lol: ((( ))) for you and we got sun :D Cris x

Hi Del.......... Yes but I got shortbread :lol::lol: Hope the man flu is getting their and doesn't re-infect :lol::lol: ((( ))) x

    Hi Annie,

Got a couple of those lymph ones as well... It really does fit like a glove and I have had the optic neuritis since 1998 on and off and most now on so your mate did that stop and the eyes get better?

Oh These ones became mine.... I gave them time and space and a safe environments and they gave me........:lol::lol::lol: I would still do the same, and still do actually  Hey what department deal with it and is a drip involved? Annie I read up about it but my attention span is about 2 seconds just now....... Hope you slept ok? I going back under the embers as soon as I got the shed  xx

    Hi Val,

Sorry flower I missed you, I don't see so good just now  Hey its down to you lot I actually went so thank you :D Hope your feeling ok today and sending a ((( ))) for you and a hope your bloods go ok. Cris x

    Hi Ange,

I been feeling a bit rough for a while..... This cat thing can get into your bones as well left untreated for a while..... A friend googled optic neuritis and we have come up with the diagnoses but you know why haven't they? They were very quick to keep saying M/S but I am covered in bites and scratches and go to miner injured every time I bit and surely someone somewhere could have thought this?!

I feeling very upset actually cus the damage i my right eye especially is huge.... and notmendable.... and the cat scratch thing is cureable so why couldn't they have picked up on it.... I know its not been confirmed but I am sure it is and will get it treated cus I need my eyes!

Ta for the hug flower and one coming back to you ((( ))) xx

    Hi Barbara,

Just tried to get through t the Rumo's sec bu they don't seem to be answering on the main switch bred just now...... Hey maybe they are all in the sun  I will try again in a min.... ((( ))) Cris x

    Hi Julie,

Hope you doing ok today and well a hug back as well. You take it easy and will see you for a builders soon  x

    Dear Cris

So relieved to hear that you have at last done something positive regarding your many health issues. Suggestions can be suggested by others 'til they are blue in the face but it is only you that can make the decision and do something about it. You must feel so unwell now that the time finally arrived for you to bite the bullet and seek medical attention. Thank goodness it was a good experience and I hope your faith has been restored somewhat in realising that there are people out there that want to help you with your medical problems but you also have to help yourself too. It takes two to tango

I wish you well dear Cris but you will have to abide by some of the rules like we all unfortunately have to do. It is team work. There is help out there if you will also help yourself.

    Lots of love
    Elna x

    Hi Elna,

Oh I have tried for the last 6 years or so to get different doctors...... The walk in didn't open till August and its the only one and they play it low key cus a lot of us didn't know it was there.

I took my eyes up to the eye casualty when I went for the carpal tunnel tests last month and they ad the optic neuritis in them and it gets documented but not much else...... It will be fin till Monday and the Rumo..... As soon as they answer the phone

I have to stay with the useless doctors till I can get another one o take me on and Elna I have been trying again to find one. Its not like towns, we have the mileage problem i the rural areas and they are my nearest doctors ...... I not 100% sure under Trading Standards they are doctors  I will keep on my quest cus I feel wished beyond wished and just need to run with the cat scratch thing...... I can handle much more damage to my eyes to be honest.

Hey hope your knee is doing ok? We got sun and well hope you got some there? If not I will tie it to him and he will drag it up for you :D Love and a ((( ))) Cris xx

    Hi Chris,
I'm sorry you feel so down and unwell, but its good that you found the walk in centre. We have one and I used it once and the doc was fine.

As for cat bite fever, that can be quite nasty, I stood on one of my kittens, who had deciced that the side of bed, was a good place to sleep. AS I put my foot on this furry thing, all the claws and teeth dug in, I screamed the scared cat clung on and was up in the air attached to my foot. My husband woke up and took the cat off - she was fine - he then told me off for hurting the cat!!!  Next day, my foot was up like a balloon, I had antibiotics from the doctor, who, as I was going opened his door and shouted through the waiting room, 'Next time, get a white cat'. HA HA. You should have seen the other patients faces. :lol:

If it carrys on hurting, you should let your GP have a look, well you know more about animals than I do, but don't suffer it really is nasty. Hope you are soon feeling a bit better.

    Hi Sue,

Its easy done what ever the colour :lol: I am going to get it checked out...... Its not a scratch or bite its an organism that gos into you blood stream and the tablets for bad scratches and bites don't touch it. I have always had the bites treated asap cus your right don't they go nasty? I have managed to wangle a lift tomorrow after the sale to the eye cas so will ask them cus its the optic neuritis that suggests I might have it...... It fits so much of what's wrong with me as well  Hope you feeling better today as well? We got sun and it always helps eh? Luv and a ((( ))) Cris x

Oh I am so pleased I am no longer on the sulfa, and I'm dancing around here as I write that!!!!!! :D:D

Rumo might leave it till may to see me cus he is very busy but said he would get back to me next week and let me know. I think I know whats coming next and I am in no hurry, though it might work

    Cris ((((( )))))

Sorry love only just catching up here. Like so many here, I am so so relieved you did manage to see a doc. who restored your faith a little. We know you don't like to complain, so realise just how much you have been feeling poorly lately even to mention it. Though you always seem to hang on to a sense of humour bless you.

TWO  sales again this weekend oh Cris how I wish you didn't have too do both, but I do understand how you need them.

Glad seeing your updates that you are off the sulpha as you hoped but not sure what your alternative is, hope it helps.
Yes do try get to the eye casualty tomorrow if you can. You have made a start in getting some help so do keep going or will be after you with that mallet again!

Hope all went well with the chores today, do ask local peeps for some help if you need to, we do wish we could actually pop round and really help you.

The boys send hugs and say they weren't responsible for any cat stratch as both feel a tad guilty if it does turn out to be that. Occupational hazard for you it seems.

Sorry I'm waffling here will shut up now.
Sending hugs, CDM and bestest fudge just wish you felt like eating it.

ps Are these walks in attached to hospitals or a separate surgery somewhere? Just curious to know how they work.
