I have been well aware all my life that books breed when left unattended for too long.........but I had never realised that clothes and handbags do too!

How can two plain black handbags breed 11 others in colours ranging from red to cream? I've never seen them before - I'm not a handbag person at all.

    Hi Annie,

I've found the same thing happening with scarves. Now who would have thought scarves could breed. All different colours, material etc.

    Very odd!

Only Joking earlier. I'm not a hand bag person either but when we have a Spring Clean, hubby does find a few that we do not.

I never remember buying them. I think it may come from presents at varrious times in the year when peeps buy hanbbags for me.

The only time I buy a bag is when I need one.

Think you must be right, Trish.......I do vaguely remember one being bought for me as a gift. I'd have preferred a book token, but peeps won't be told!

The local charity shop is making a mint out of me.....

Well, there are some that I don`t use any more, but I just like to ring the changes Annie. I like to colour co-ordinate. Then there`s the tops, trousers, jackets, skirts, jewellery.........on and on and on. OMG, ridiculous. I have stopped buying now though. Honest.

Am thinking of selling on Ebay, if someone will show me how......Ange.

I'm having a very hard time trying to part with some of mine! I can make do with one handbag, books are different. I have got about 8 pairs of shoes/boots for different weather and seasons.

I only ever use one bag at a time now. I have to have one of those you put across your shoulder, like we use to have our school satchels. And it has to be fairly small with just the bare necessities in. I can't carry a large bag anymore, even over my shoulders because it hurts too much.

Now shoes, again, I only ever wear 1 of 2 pair of shoes.
Some of you have probably bought all my other new shoes in the charity shops. I cannot get me feet in them any more.

That reminds me, got to go up to Padders on Monday to get another pair like the ones I have at the moment ready for my new insoles.

I buy biros in bags of 20s or 30s and they disappear.

    Confession time!

I love shopping, I have a wardrobe that could match the rail of a department store. But shoes and bags well, I have a few quite a few. Shoes (and boots) must be 80+ and bags well I haven't counted. I even have some of the holy grails of shoes, manolo & Jimmy Choo.

At least now I am back at work all of these are gettng used again. Even my heels, I put them on in the office & back to sensible shoes to get to an from.

    Ange,

If you are thinking about selling pm me, Ebay is useless for clothes, bags etc. I use another website to sell items like that it is a lot cheaper, easier to use and is specifically for that.

Only thing is you can be tempted to buy!

You got a point about torches, Cris..........I keep finding them all over the place! Candles and matches, too, but that's because our power goes so often here.

    I've also found 5 odd left-hand gloves!

Well, at least that's unique, Lynn! Not one I've come across before......

Being brought up in the 'make do and mend' era has me sides-to-middling sheets still, not to mention towels. I dislike shopping for that kind of thing anyway, so tend to leave it till it becomes a necessity!
