Just heard that 50% of flights in Europe will fly tomorrow.

    Kaz

Will keep fingers crossed for you but it does not look good. They may ask the navy to help bring stranded passengers home.
    .
It must be so upsetting for you

    Thanks so much everyone!

The support has been so welcome.

I'm packed, but almost certainly will be unpacking tomorrow. The airline will give us a full refund but might have to fight the insurance company for the accommodation. How dare they wriggle out of this by claiming an Act of God! They are mostly highway robbers in my opinion. What happens if you don't believe in God at all, then it's insulting!

Will keep you all in the loop and thanks Queenfan. Know I can rely on you :):):):):):):):):) !

Sorry Kaz, it must be really upsetting to have planned a trip or holiday and of all thing to happen volcanic ash stops you from going.

These insurance companies wriggle out of anything. Everything is an act of God.

Kaz, that's awful, I can empahtise...
Meant to be flying out to the Canary Islands on the 25th...hmmm. Chances of it clearing by then seem slim.

This holiday's been the only bright thing on the horizon for me too, inbetween stupid hospital appointments and waiting for diagnosis and medication. But that's life eh, kicks you when you're down! You gotta laugh, somehow..

    Hi Caprica and Kaz

I'm sorry your holidays are being disrupted like this. It is very disappointing when you have been looking forward to going so much. I do hope you will get your holidays in due course.

    You take care

Well, here I am still in Norwich.

Our flight left only 20 minutes late from Amsterdam to Canada but we couldn't get out of Norwich as everything is cancelled again today.

I hope 3 stranded Canadians are enjoying our seats at least!

I hope you have all survived the crossed fingers and toes!!!

    I'm so sorry, Caprica, too.

Perhaps we could vote the volcano as the next Prime Minister!

Just wait till the olympics! I bet there will be a net gain after that. I believe some other countries have had that experience when they have been hosts. 2000 come, 20 go home.

2012 should allow you a particularly good rant vintage!
