I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

THE POSTMAN BOUGHT THE EAR DEFENDERS THIS MORNING!!

Tried them in the house - SILENCE!!

Will test them in the garden shortly...

They do squeeze your head a bit ... but it is as if the demolition has stopped!!

They have nearly finished scooping up the rubble that was the building at the end of my road ... hey Delboy see if you can put the big tower block's turn on hold till Oct/Nov ... when I'm back at work - thanks!!

Liberté, égalité, fraternité, French for "Liberty, equality, fraternity (brotherhood)", is the national motto of France.

Told you my French brain wasn't working! Knew it was that, just couldn't get hold of it - most frustrating! Au revoir, mon ami. DD

Get those ear defenders on and grab the peace while you can. Its their job - fair enough.... but its also annoying and disrupting and can really upset your routine. Hope they get it done rapidly and bugger off as fast :)

I'm not too far away on the other side of the Chester Road in Wylde Green and seeing your were from the West Mids took a guess.

Personally I'll be glad to see the back of the estate as it is.

Pity they can't do the demolishing part and then STOP! I love the wide open spaces they are creating ... I don't want them to build on them!! (Very selfish attitude, I know!)

I was in Wylde Green today - bought some lovely plants and have just been planting them in my tubs!!
