HI Everyone and thanks for all the lovely messages. She is a lucky dog to have had so many treats
I am sorry I didn't get on here yesterday, but it was a busy one and I just fell into bed last night
Littlelegs is a lot better thanks to the anti-inflammatories that she has had, although she took the last one tonight. I've been bathing the affected area with salt water as instructed (brings tears to my eyes to do it though  ) and until tonight everything was looking good. TOnight one area is very red and sore again, so will be pointing this out to the vet when we see him tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon. for a check-up on how she is doing. OH .... did I mention that she gets - and now expects - special fish skin treats when I've finished the bathing ordeal
After Saturday night she has gradually grown in confidence again, aided with dog-walks which avoided most dogs more by accident than design, but did no harm to keep her happy
It is such a shame that she has been so good recently, and I was worried that she might take a step backwards again, but the dogs we did meet gave her no problems. What will happen when we meet a similar type of dog is another matter .... so the treat bag is heavily laden at the moment
right, thanks again folks. Must go as she wants to go out ... again
hugs

Hi Wonky, Glad to she thats she's doing well.
Such a worry arent they when there not well.
we had to feed snowy on chicken & rice or pasta after the fly strike & he loved it. Now if he's off his food we give him that & he eats the lot.
Although heS a big dog he doesnt eat to well, never has since i got him. So we have to watch every meal he has,but he loves it when he gets the leftovers from sundays roast.Even gets a yorkie pud on top   OH hasnt ever had a dog so he adopted mine when he moved in & spoils him rotten.
I hope the check up goes well & you have no further problems.

Sorry, I haven't been on for a few days and am just catching up with you all.
I'm so sorry to hear about your (dog?) Littlelegs. That's so out of order for the other dog to be off its leash and attack her, but I'm glad she's getting better.

Dear Wonky
I am so very pleased to hear how well Littlegs is doing. I am so releived too.
The poor wee thing.
I hope the area which doesn't look too brilliant is ok by the time you get to the vets.
She deserves her little post bathe treat I think
I can't beleive how brave she is to go back out - did you both take her the first couple of times??
Love and hugs

Hi Wonky,

Hi everyone,
I've been to the vets and Littlelegs is fine although she had another antibiotic injection just in case there were any bugs remaining.
The poor girl hates having her 'bits' examined and bathed, but can stop the bathing and just have to keep an eye on her for a bit and hope that all is well.
The vets gave me a second copy of the bill, so we'll keep it in our dog bag and hope that we bump into the bloke again and we'll give him the bill and see if he offers to stump up the cash!! Hope he has a spare £75 !!!
Ta on her behalf for all the hugs, strokes, slurps, treats and especially the fish jerky as that is going down a treat
hugs to everyone

Hi Wonky
Just caught up on this thread so wanted, belatedly, to say how sorry I was to read about the attack on LittleLegs. Glad to know that she is going to be ok now. Must have been very frightening for hubby too, so hope he is ok.
Love Tilly x0 -
Hi Wonky
I am glad that Littlelegs is feeling a bit better.
I don't think I would like someone looking at my bids either!! So definitely stock up on her treats.

Hi Wonky
Just came across your thread - glad that little legs is starting to fel better. My Tara is a staffie - and we got her as a 3 year old rescue dog 2.5 years ago. Trainers told me it was because she has probably been attacked at some point and was through fear that she was showing so much agression. It took me 6 months solid work and a training course to socialise her with other dogs as she wanted to have a go at any dog in sight. before I would chance letting her off the lead. Now she has all her pals - best pal is a pug -and if there are any new dogs in park she runs over to see them and play. However if other dogs are on leads then I always call her back and put here on lead to stop owners being tied in knots. Only time she is 'grumbly' is if another dog snarls at her, but I only have to call and she back to heel. Staffies and staffie crosses do get a bad name but I agree with everyone else that it is the owners to blame . Gentle hugs to both of you and sloppy kisses to littlelegs from Tara

Hi Wonky,
Glad its all going in the right direction for her and also that he gave her another jab.... best to be safe for dog bites. Good luck in bumping into the other guy and him actually paying the bill.... I don't think it likely though  Leaving her more cuddles and some yucky fish jerky and for after does she like tripe jerky as well..... got a couple of boxes for her ((( ))) and slurps Cris xx0 -
tripe Jerky   that might just go down well ..... the horrible sounding / smelling stuff usually is her favourite
hi tarasmygirl ...... I agree with all you said ... with rescues it is a long hard slog isn't it? but soooooooo rewarding!
not holding my breath for help with the vets bill
Littlelegs sends wags back to all of you - she is much happier tonight!
hugs

Ah Wonky

I, as a fellow girl (?), also hate having my bits examined. Not a spectator sport, I feel. Poor littlelegs, this has really shaken her up hasn't it? And you too WOnky. My sympathies to the both of you and WOnky, remember to share the fish jerky with your dog! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
