    Hello Lululu,

The secret is to eat the ice cream first and have a Bladnoch
single malt chaser after the beer.

Oooh ichabod, you have awoken good memories. I visited the Bladnoch distillery many moons ago, and sampled their wares at the end of the tour. It was my first taste of a single malt and it was wonderful. Haven't drunk any for years now, lost my taste for it, but that little drop of Bladnoch . . . . . . heaven in the mouth. DD

We have a pudding club at work where we have a vote as to what we fancy and then I cook it!!! We've had all sorts; bread and butter pud, jam roly poly, gypsy tart, citrus bars and chocolate tart to name a few. I think it might be blackberry and apple crumble on friday yummmmmm

Now why do you have to cook it Kate? Are you renowned for your puds?

Funny a lot of people have weened themselves of white bread but I agree only white bread makes good toast and even though we try the low fat versions we still hanker for the good old fashioned butter we were brought up with.
Yeh that's what I need right now - only have healthy wholemeal and low fat spread Bah

cant think of anything worse.. although I will admit I have the low fat spreads in the fridge too.. use for sandwiches etc, but when it comes to toast or crusty bread.. HAS to be butter - although I do now buy the spreadable stuff - country life every time !... god dam it now Im hungry!

I loathe butter: I use ketchup/brown sauce/mustard/tartare sauce/pickle/chilli sauce to spread, if necessary (choice depends on content of sandwich). Much more tasty! White crusty loaf doorstep slice with salad cream - yum-yum! DD

lemon cheese in a jar similar to lemon curd but one is made with marg and the other is made with butter. (dont ask which cant remember) found this info off a farmers market stall that sells different jams.

Bangers and mustard mash, with onion gravy. Yummy :!: :D

Home-made bread while it's still warm, with lots of butter. My Grandad was a master baker, so that takes me right back to my childhood.

Pancakes, drizzled with golden syrup and lemon juice.

Best of all, Yorkshire pudding with onion gravy. ( That's my piece de resistance)
