An hour late? I wonder how cross he would be if he was kept waiting for so long? You were very sweet to let him get away with it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. We take the trouble to show up on time: so should they or at least explain when they don't.

So, two weeks with the shrinker - is that uncomnfortable? Has your stump healed properly or will the shrinker have to be put on and taken off? Oh hun, what a trial for you, but finger's crossed it all works and you can be measured for a new limb. April is some time away yet, I know, but don't let them get away with any backsliding, as they seem to have done in the past. Well done on typing such a huge post too - that must have taken ages and a lot of patience and yet you still crack jokes. I admire your spirit. And determination. I hope you get some rest now - chat tomorrow, my lovely pf. DD

    Hi wonky toni and dd

dd asked has the wound healed. no not yet. they say the shrinker should help. dont know how unless i helps blood flow like them socks you wear after opps.
the shrinker doesnt hurt but it did when she put it on. (dont think she stretched the bottom bit enough) then as she pulled it up it was tender. I did say ouch, but kept my arms on my lap so not to hit her. Rich is better as his strength at stretching is better, (and he knows not to hurt me) i would swear.

now will have to wash pockets cause your right its a bit wiffy with that fish.
(and my friends are coming dont want em givin me funny looks)

going to rest a bit more before they come. they will have to excuse house. ooooo its thundering

    bye for now

How often does one use the word 'dalek' in a written piece? You made the sensible choice, opting for the 'dar'. Don 't fret: we knew what you meant! I like playing daleks with my crutches, I do an excellent 'Ex-ter-min-ate!' as I press lift buttons and prod people. DD

    Hi Julie,

Has the sun come out yet? If so a trip to the supermarket will still on :D
Nice to have friends round they cheer you up so.

I'm off out today with my loopy friend and I always feel better for it.

Have a good rest later today and good luck with the next appointment.

Hi Julie, it is a long drawn out process isn't it ... still at least things have started moving. Hope the shrinker thing does the job, the sooner everything is in place and you can strap the leg on a for a bit the better. That was a long time to wait, good job medic was pleasant after all that. Bit late to be saying you should have come back sooner mind... that is the problem with adult treatment - all little specialists treating their bit and no one really looking after the whole person and how the different disciplines relate to each other.

Hope you get some bargains at Lidl! I wish our non-ambulant kids at school had those capes - that would make dressing them up for the elements a lot easier!
