    Hi Val,

I was just wondering could your gp not find a different anti-inflammatory for you? I also can recommend the gels... they do seem to help but I still wonder couldn't you have a different anti-flam? (((( )))) and hopes your head is feeling better? Cris xx

HRT only delays things val: I am so glad I wan't allowed it, 3.5 years of misery but it's done and dusted. I know what you mean about the naproxen too - I have hellish oral thrush as a result, nothing has gotten rid of it 'cos I take the nap every day. I am now seriously thinking of stopping it, it doesn't affect the pain and I still swell, so as an anti-inflammatory it ain't cutting ther mustard! I sincerely hope you have a beter day today - and well done for sitting thro the rugby! DD

hi doing much better this time with out the naproxen not so stiff as was last time :D:D had to go on hrt as was only 45 when went through change well started year or so before went to gp and was affecting my mind was very scary but the main thing is to stop ostioporosis as going through change so early increases chances of getting it 10 fold and have enough probs with joints with out bones joining in. have good day val

My old GP in Oxford was a great fan of salt water, gargle for sore throat, sniff for sinius infection, eye bath for eye infection. Heaven knows what he'd have suggested for piles!!!!!! But it does help and eases things, I found.

I know what you mean about anti inflams, I can't take them as I had a perforated ulcer in my tummy.

One of the things that helps me now is a mouth wash from the chemist. I'd ask the chemist first, if its OK and what is the best one.
    Hope you feel better soon.
    Love sue.xxx
