Hi Hileena
I find it best to have the Lanzaprozole at the side of the bed and take it as I wake.....It needs to be taken at least 30mins before any food hits the stomach!
Hope that helps0 -
Hi Thanks......I assume thats what I'm getting ...I'll know def tomorrow
So it must be taken in the morning....I hadnt planned to pick it up until lunchtime.....didnt think it mattered....Its one tab/capsule he said over the phone to be taken once a day

Hi Hilleena
It just makes sense to take it early in the day following many hours without anything in the stomach.
Acid can be present then too the medication comes under the umbrella of "Proton pump inhibitors" and thus reduces excess gastric acid production.
hope this is helpful.0 -

hope it won't be long until it all settles and you're able to get the full benefit from the dicolos.
any word about a back doc appointment yet? or did I miss that

Hi Iris, Believe it or not I suggested it to the doc....didnt know the names but knew they were to line your stomach when taking anti inflams.....but he shrugged it off. I felt like telling him "told you so"or why didnt you listen in the first place
No word from the back doc yet
Sorry I missed your post

Hi,
Got them....they are Omeprazole capsules. I checked with the pharmicist and she looked it up and said once a day and take it roughly the same time each day if poss ....said it didnt matter whether I took it before a meal or after a meal. I think I will keep them at the side of my bed and take them NEARLY first thing. We take a tray upstairs with a travelling kettle and when the alarm goes of hubby gets up makes tea and bring it back to bed. I'll probably take it round about then and then by the time I sort breakfast out ...well that will be about another half hr LOL

How organised are you???
Job for the husband coming up now!
Thanks for the idea :!:0 -
Hi
I dont know how all this started......a long time ago but its a good idea isnt it??? It used to be at the weekend when we were both working hard during the week..... On Sat he would make the tea {in the bedroom} and I would go down and do the toast and on Sunday I made the tea and he went and did the toast. During the week we didnt have that time to lie in so it was just tea and he made it.
Hope it works LOL
