What an ordeal they have faced, and how courageously they have dealt with it. I hope that tomorrow we wake to good news. DD

They are going to start bringing them out in the next couple of hours.
They have to fit in a pod 20 in wide....I would go to pieces...
I really do feel for them, especially being claustrophobic.

I wish them well it will take them over half an hour for each miner to get to the surface. I do hope they give them time to adjust to the light and noise before the media frenzy starts.

They're getting the most experienced out first in case there's a problem coming up and hopefully they'll be able to cope with it. Next come the weakest or in need of medical attention and then the others.

I wonder if any will be agoraphobic now  :?

I'm sending my positive vibes to Camp Hope now - what brave men.

The poor families that have been waiting for their loved ones. May they be reunited quickly and live an uneventful life from now on. Cannot begin to imagine what it must have been down there. Did the mine go into liquidation???? I hope they managed to get a large amount of money for them.

Well I waited last night , but ended up going to bed after midnight, but what fantastic news to get up to this morning.
What they have done to get the miners out is nothing short of amazing.
I really do hope that it carries on going smoothly.

I have thought of them often in the past couple of months, but what is happening to them now is, I think, being mis-handled. If you have been away from your family for that length of time surely the first thing you want to do is see whoever is dearest to you, not the flaming president, wife and entourage, and the media. The first guy is doing interviews! Give him some space and time, for crying out loud! Yes, it is a good news story, yes, it is a remarkable thing but the voraciousness of the media is deeply unpleasant. DD

Well, I was awake most of the night worrying about these men.

DD, they are seeing their families almost immediately and before being bundled off to hospital - I don't think they would keep them apart as that would be cruel.

Wow! Just watched the 10th Miner successfully emerge. It is grrrrreat seeing a plan work :D

Fantastic so see their HUGE smiles and getting a big bear hug from their loved ones.

There is talk of them all writing a book together about their experience. I just hope they can tell their stories to one person and is written well without any hassle and that they make lots of life changing money for themselves and their families.

    Happy days

From what I understand a paramedic/miner went down to them to assess what order they leave, he will be the last to be taken up in the capsule.

I agree but apparently he's been down mines since he was 6 years old and maybe he's better adjusted than leaving one of those poor men on their own when they've been stuck for 2 months.

I just wonder what would have been done if it were here they would have probably said their dead forget them well have to leave them down there as it's to risky to get the bodies out.
That said they have done really well I just hope they don't let the yanks make some god awful Disney film about it as they will warp the truth something rotten, the miners will all be yanks and you would probably have Sly Stalone and the muscle head Van Dam trying to either blow or shoot their way out, oh and the mine would be moved to California.

Bottom line though is well done chilli you never gave up on them.
