Not looking forward to meeting

Hi Rainbow,
thanks for your support. I'm not nervous about the actual teaching part - I know I'll love that part - it's all the other stuff - being more tired, dashing around all the time, trying to fit teaching, planning, paperwork, being a great Mum, running a home etc all in to just 24 days, 7 days a week...!
I'm sorry you haven't got a job yet, have you considered a bit of voluntary or doing cover in the meantime - looks good on your CV, keeps your hand in and gains you some contacts.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Thanks Del, we did say it could be reviewed if necessary.
Hi Carola, I'm out of practise having school competing for brain space - now I know why whilst off sick, my brain was becoming bogged down with things it wouldn't usually be - because usually there is too much competition!! (Just like your Mum!)
I have been gathering resources and planning lessons etc - whilst my brain is in the mood. It is a bit like poetry writing - the best lesson come when you are in the mood.
I'm glad I met most folks - it will make it easier going back after the hols.
Not overdoing it is going to be work of art - that I must master!

Hi Speedy
Just make the most of your last week before you go back. I have registered with agencies, but not had a call yet as September is very quiet for agencies. But will call them and see. I already do a lot of voluntary work for my church. I have set up a childrens club on a saturday morning. Last saturday was registration day and yesterday was the first session. We had 7 children and it went really well. So people know keep giving me milk bottles, cartons etc for craft !!!! I might need to raid your creativity if I run out!!
It has taken a lot of time to write all the procedures and policies book and also sort out the child protection policy and crb checks. But all the preparation is worth it when you see the kids. Love it, but it does not pay the bills!!!!
Take care
Thinking of you

Hi speedy
Just read your thread after being away a few days and congratulations for getting back to your job.
Perhaps as the others have said if after week 3 you are unable to do the hours you are supposed to you could talk to the head and ask for a few more weeks at the reduced hours.
Anyway good luck
