Just letting Mike and Hazel know I am with them today as their son has his operation today.

Mike I hope all goes well for you all. My thoughts are with you.

    Apparently he will be itching to get home - he was after his last op - so lets hope he's the same this time :D

    PS have heard from Mike

    he will fill us all in later when he gets time I am certain, but the op has happened - they did only the worst foot in the end, but he is ok :D . I will let Mike explain all to you when he is able to get on.

    They were given a ground floor flat so they could stay with him there overnight.

    Had a message from Mike

    Mike jnr is doing ok (was sick a lot the first night) and is hoping to be home on Friday.

    I think Mike will get a proper chance to update us all then. He is finding being there hard physically on himself :(

    I found staying at hospital really difficult. I couldn't sort the bed(nobody offered to help even though I was informed matron suffered from R.A) and decided to curl up on the end of my daughters single bed, which wasn't easy or comfortable. I had to get help removing my shoes.
    The parent toilets were miles away so risked sneaking into the patients.
    I can image Mike snr having a really difficult couple of nights and he will be so glad to return to his own bed.
    Mike you will feel so relieved it is all over....
