Afternoon all
If the writing looks strange, its my laptop all the forum is black and white and the writing little I have changed the resolutions but nothing..it driving me mad..
Christine how good that your niece has trained in hairdressing...wish mine was..mind you it would be hard to complain..I do hope you get the boundaries changed it will give us some hope...we now have a independent council and they want us back in Lancashire..and they have stopped the others knocking down our only high school and have reopened it
Toady I think the mouse is playing with you..I have purchase a few things off ebay that I shouldn't have one being a stepper and it wouldn't move with me on it it took my 14 stone son to jump on it...I noticed others had left bad feedback so I contacted them, and the seller that got nasty and left me awful feedback ..in the days when they could...
Gosh I'm rambling..its lovely and warm here but no sun...will see you later xxxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
..well I promptly went off & boiled the milk pan over so maybe being left on my own in the cafe unsupervised is not a good idea
hope I wreaked less havoc in here.. mind you I was absorbed in building a pyramid of tun****s mallows over by the counter so I may well have taken my eye off things here too..
Ooh negative feedback barbara, yes don't people get heatedit's quite entertaining reading, some of it, lots of exclamation marks and capitals & usually Liar! Awful seller!! Avoid!!! comes into it.. not funny if you're on the end of it though. Then the replies are often quite nasty, if I see that it puts me off rather, probably best to stay calm & you look better for it as the seller. If my item is a bit iffy it is my fault, not theirs, so I can't blame anybody.
Goes to clean cooker. :oops:0 -
Hello Toady..at least you cleaned the cooker unlike some people that come in..and yes feedback if I have any probs I always message them..but this man was nasty
I have come in to tell you about the armed police at the back of our house and in the fields at the front..we have a building about half a mile away in the fields it used to be sort of borstal..but now its quite dangerous mental patients and we only found out when someone we know went for a job there..anyhow we think someone has escaped..the helicopter is out..and we are locking the doors ... this is 3 times now..
will see you later and up date you...xxxxLove

Toady, did you get any painting done? I managed to buy some wallpaper paste today as I want to cover the arch over my bed then paint it. So I've got all the materials now. Just have to psyche myself up to actually do it. A few brush strokes at a time sounds good. Your story about the mouse reminded me of the advert that used to be on. Can't remember what they were advertising - some sort of biscuit, I think. The photographer is poised ready to take a picture of some pandas. After quite a while, he turns round to eat the biscuit and the pandas come out ice skating. They disappear again when the photographer turns back again.
Maybe you could put your pig in a poke back on Eb*y.
Barbara, how annoying for you that the screen doesn't show properly. They nearly knocked your school down? I'm sure they don't think things through a lot of the time. Do you still have your stepper? Mine has a dial type thing on it so you can make it easier or harder. Hope they catch whoever has escaped. it is worrying while they are still out there. A few have escaped from our prison over the last couple of years.
Just had a leaflet through the door saying that there will be quite a few things going on in first weekend in August on the play field round the corner. There will be a commemoration at the cenotaph then a parade to the field where there will be a World War 1 trench, a battle re-enactment, a fairground and a World War 1 exhibition. Should be good.
Hope everyone else is ok.Christine0 -
Oh dear  hope to hear all's well, hasn't there been a run of this sort of thing recently. 3 times should be enough for them to have all the right systems in place.. hope you're ok.. xx
I found some little bits that needed filling on my walls applerose, so I have done that & should be ready for tomorrow. Painting kitchen is relatively easy as it's small & being half-tiled, no bending. Should be doing hall stairs & landing sometime which is a different matter altogether. Have never tackled wallpaper. I suppose as long as you've got plenty you can make mistakes. Do you remember the old joke about wallpaper quantity, the 2 Ronnies did it and it probably went around before that.
I remember the advert wellwas a good one compared to most and does work in that you remember it and you usually do want a [biscuit] when you've seen it. Although having said that if you don't recall the product it can't have been 100% effective.
Yes it was very like that. Ah well coming up to the mousing hour I can no doubt expect more.

30 years ago today I was the proud Mum of a beautiful Daughter. I cannot believe the years have gone by so fast! I have wished her HB on fb but I do wish I could see her on this special day.
I didn't get to sleep until 5 am because Son was frazzled and couldn't switch off. The Sun is shining so I expect we will have loud music playing very soon and OH will have to take Son out for a drive. He's started hammering on the windows and I'm frightened he will break them next time.
Still need to get the patio done  I'm going to have to get the ball rolling I think.
The music has just started, not loud at the moment but I'm sure that will come

I'e given him some cotton wool under the ear defenders and he is not freaking out at the usual level of noise.
OH says I'm pandering to him :x That's the sort of support I get in all this.

Well, you can certainly tell when Toni has paid a visit to the cafe, it sparkles like a new pin. And there's a lovely smell of perfumed disinfectant in the toilet.
Elizabeth, I hope you've managed to get a bit more sleep. Did the drive out calm your son down a little?
marrianne, how are you getting on dancing the TOCILIZUMABA? Sounds a bit too energetic for me.
Think I'll help myself to some pancakes won't put jam on them as I don't want to smear it all over these lovely clean worktops - and I would if left to my own devices :? 8)
At least today has been a bit warmer, but I'm still cold. I'm wondering if it's something to do with my skin, which is so badly cut up now I worry that it isn't doing its job of controlling my temperature properly. Oh well, only 18 more days left to my next dermatology appointment - hope they have some answers for me. And better still, some treatment to stop the itching.
Love to Joan, Barbara, Toady, can't see mig but sending love anyway, applerose, Elizabeth, marrianne - whoops, memory overload. Sorry if I've forgotten anyone. xx"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Hi All, Got back late on Friday, had the most amazing time, will tell all later when I have read what's been happening.Monster pile of washing to be done. Mig0
-
Mig I hope you had a super time. when the washing is done come back to the forum tell us all about the trip.
The cotton wool is working! Even though he can still
hear the noise its not upsetting him like before and it has been really loud. I think it vibrates, sets the teeth on edge and you all know how horrible that can be. So may be the cotton wool is acting as a barrier against the vibrating.
First time for ages I've not been overloaded with stress!
I've been really hot today but then I've been sitting near the oven Kath. I've had a lot of itching lately too and don't know why.I've noticed it is worse when I have just had either a blood test or an injection but it happens at other times too especillay my right arm. I've scratched my arm and left it marked the itching is so bad

Toady, I don't do filling in holes unless they are very big.
Don't know if I'll ever do my staircase. It's too high at one point. I'd need scaffolding. I don't remember that one with the two Ronnies so I looked it up. They are funny. Hope there haven't been any more mice.
Toni, you always end up cleaning in here instead of relaxing with a cuppa. Hope Lucy has fun tonight and they don't keep you awake.
Marrianne, I just tried to read that word and imagined you doing zumba. Thanks for asking about my dad. He didn't seem to happy today. My sister, who cares for him, has been away for a few days but he cheered up when we told him she'd be back this evening. Your poor friend. it is so difficult when they have been together for so long. Must leave a huge hole in their lives.
Barbara, you'll probably find out in the news that they have caught the person who went missing. I don't paper apart from backing paper if it's needed. I paint the walls too. The sitty down peddly thing will be good exercise.
Elizabeth Happy birthday to your daughter. It is a pity we can't always see them on their birthdays. It's my daughter's next week. Very rarely see her on her birthday now. Hope you have managed a nap today. Don't know how you manage to keep going on so little sleep. Did OH take your son out for a while? Sometimes, I wonder if men have any emotional brains? I wouldn't call it pandering at all. You can't just leave him. Glad you are feeling less stressed now though.
Joan, hope you are ok this weekend.
Kath be careful with those pancakes. We don't want any mess after all of Toni's hard work. I do hope you get some answers at your appointment. There are a lot of us coming in here now, aren't they?
Mig, looking forward to hearing all about your holiday.
Couldn't get warm when I got home from dad's today. it seemed to be warm outside but I still needed an extra jumper on. I'm ok now though. Hoping the weather is good tomorrow. I fancy spending some time in the garden. Hope you are all ok.Christine0 -
Good morning Everyone
Christine - I was cold yesterday because there was a wind I think and I put on the oil radiator in the girls room. Husband was warm enough
Girls seemed quiet enough - I just hope Lucy got some sleep bless her.
Regarding your hall stairs and landing....I once decorated one with one of those extra long paint rollers????? Unless it's paper of course :?
I hope your Dad is happier now with your Sister home
Barbara - The garden sounds lovely:) Enjoy your new spuds when they come through. Nothing like the pure white sweetness of your own spuds
My garden has been seriously neglected this year I am ashamed to say
Elizabeth I am over the moon to hear that cotton wool is actually helping!!!!!!!!!!!! Brilliant news. He is so sensitive to sound I am sure it hurts him
Horrible itching all the time for you and Kath. I have no answer other than trying some antihistamine if the doc/pharmacist says it's ok with your meds :?
30 YEARS!!!!!!!!!! No way are you old enough  BUT congratulations anyway
Mig
Welcome home! Pass me some washing I'll help you out with it....
KathT I really like doing housework at the moment (maybe I am loosing it) because I couldn't do any at all in the hospital after I'd emptied the dishwasher and cleaned the kitchen. All us Mums put on weight from sitting around eating out of boredom!!
More pancakes here (properly this time) with maple syrup and icecream
Joan I hope you are having a nice weekend too and Peppa is enjoying the sun. You do amazingly well with Arthur, CP and also the Osteoporosis!!
Love to you all
Toni xxxx0 -
Morning all..the sun is shinning..
Toni I would love a pancake..lemon and a tiny bit of sugar please..
The only part of my garden that is nice at the min is the bit we did to cover the pond...my little Japanese garden..the rest is a bit of a mess it was always my job gardening..but I am giving OH lessons...
I can only imagine how you want to get back to normality...wont be long..
Joan I think I missed you yesterday hope you have a lovely ride out with peppa
Christine I have a spray to cool me down ...we could do with swopping bodies for awhile.hope your dad is doing ok ..hopefully he can sit outside in this nice weather
Today the girls have gone to the zoo with daddy...we went halves because we were going to take them but daddy has more stamina...
Hope you all have a good day will see you later xxxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Toni, hope Lucy and her friend had a good evening. Glad Lucy got her sleep. I only do painting. I'm not keen on wallpaper. I suppose I could try a very long handed roller and keep it all white as it is. Wouldn't matter then if I got paint in the wrong place.
I wouldn't worry too much about your garden. It won't be too long before you get out there and get it back to how it was. I'd love one of your pancakes, thank you.
Barbara, you'll (or should I say your OH), will get your garden sorted. You Japanese garden sounds lovely. Dad won't sit out in the garden. We often tried because mum loved it outside but dad would stay inside. He can't see any point in it.
Looks as if it will be a lovely day so I'm going to spend a bit of time doing some jobs in the garden. I forced myself to cut the grass back and front yesterday evening because I knew if I left it till today, that would be all I'd do. Bedroom painting will be left for another day. Wonder if I'll ever get it done.Hope you all get to enjoy the sun today.

Afternoon Barbara, Toni, Joan, Applerose, Joan, Mig, and anyone else who might wander in.
Yummy, thanks for the pancakes Toni. I'll eat on the breakfast bar so I can wipe up any syrup and ice cream - I'm such a messy eater. I think it's because I can't move my elbow into the proper position to get the food in my mouth without dropping any. By the way, I take two antihistamines every day - they aren't working, so I don't think that's the problem.
Mig, welcome back, hope you feel rested and refreshed after your holiday.
Elizabeth, I used to bruise myself when injecting Methotrexate and the bruises itched. Also after blood tests. Hope yours doesn't get as bad as mine.
Applerose, I hope you're a bit warmer today, it's lovely and sunny here. I got a line full of washing dry.
Doesn't the weekend fly by. Tarra for now. xx"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Just put the last load of washing in not going to do any ironing for a few days.
The holiday was fabulous phoned our children to say thank- you and tell them all about it.
Sailed on Monday on the azura ,food was great ,we only went to the buffet one lunch time as the food in the restaurants was so good.On the Wednesday we went to Ypes and to Tyne Cot war cemetery very moving ,I did get a little emotional and then on to the Menin Gate ,could have done with more time at both,we then went on to Ypes town it's self ,after we went in the museum we sat in the sunshine eating ice cream,it was hard to imagine that the town had gone through so much.We went to Guernsey next which I am sure is a lovely place but the weather was not good ,grey ,damp and very misty.
We had a posh night where everyone got dressed up,when I can I will try to post some photos.
Alfie Boe was great ,even hubby enjoyed his singing.
Would I go on a cruise again ? In a heartbeat,it was one of the best trips we have ever been on. Mig0 -
Evening all
Christine yes we will get there with the garden it hasn't been done properly for 3 years..just the grass cut..its a shame your dad wont sit out..mind you when my dad did he would go walkabouts..said he was bored..
Joan its is taking some time to get my son sorted even the scan results are not back or they are and the consultant is on his hols
Mig that sounds so lovely and I think I would get emotional there..it was very sad for the people of Ypres ..war never solves anything ..anyhow so the food was good and Alfie Bow I love him and his accent more like mine neck of the woods,,he has such a lovely voice...bet you would like to go again its a shame about Guernsey..
The girls had a brilliant day at the Zoo with daddy the baby came at tea time the little monkey puts her hands on her hears when her mums tells her off she isn't 2 till AugustI now have my feet up..ooh they caught the man that escaped we saw our local what do you call them hobby bobby's that what my brother use to say...
See you all tomorrow xxxxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Joan, I used to stand on a ladder but get a bit wobbly now and I can only look up for a few minutes at a time before my neck hurts.
Kath, yes I was lovely and warm today as it was sunny and hot today. This weekend certainly flew by. Wish today had lasted a bit longer.
Mig, well done on getting all the washing done. Plenty of time for ironing later. What a wonderful holiday you had. Shame about the grey damp weather in Guernsey.
Barbara, bet you can't help laughing at the baby with her hands over her ears. Glad they caught the man that had escaped. Hobby bobby? Ha ha.
I stayed in bed till about half ten today. Usually later but the sun was shining and I didn't want to miss it. Ended up spending all day in the garden switching between pottering and resting on the sunbed. Got a bit of weeding done and a few odd jobs that needed doing and enjoyed doing nothing in the sun for a while. Just wish the day had lasted a bit longer. Hope you all enjoyed some sun.
Goodnight everyone. See you tomorrow.Christine0
